agreed, it wasn't all that awesome of a year.
Honestly, I believe that the 'internet generation' active in developing game media is shifting, old-timers lose interest / get jobs / lose time and/or motivation to work on their projects and the new guys are stepping in.
I'm not too sure what I should categorize myself in, but I do know that I lack time very much :( Sorry for all those unanswered PM's, I swear to god I'm doing the best I can but studies are time devouring monsters. As far as editing goes, I'm itching to get working on new project(s), but again, time won't allow and I'm having to steer away from any impulses for now.
That said, perhaps, 2007 actually was a good/great year for videos, but due to the 'generation shift' the large audience will have to get used to the 'new kids on the block' and adjust their expectations based on that.
And yeah, anyway good to see that there's some activity going on, reward 'ceremonies' are always good fun, and hey, I'm nominated for once \o/ (not a whole lot thanks to myself though ;)). Good luck to the contestants and I believe a shout out is in place to everyone still keeping this community alive. Thanks.

Voted on all Quake 3 polls.
Quite poor selection there. Who does the pre-selection?
But I guess it's because there were not many good movies released in 2007 as you said.
The selections do not differ much, that is boring. Next year my movies are in, I will win! :)

Well I have to say, that the Q3 list is to short IMO.
There were a lot of good stuff in 2007 and the list should be expanded :) |

I just hope that endless CS Moviespam will be over soon. So many movies of a Game thats not the least interesting or in need of fancy Movies that pretend to give it excitement and looks that it just don´t has.
So any Q3 Movie would be welcome. *g* |

Most Users of that Community play CS 1.6 or Source.
for example: 10 new Movies posted on Planet-Videos and therefrom are 7 about CS.

| Pretty pathetic list, 9 different movies in q3 section. Theyre just putting the movies that are the most popular / known and that is the reason im not gonna vote for any one of those. |

well the problem is that Planet-videos are making these awards from movies they have... BUT (!!!) in year 2007 there were many more great movies they don't have on their servers. I think thats the main problem :)

| Well, you're right. The problem is that most of our users are in the Counter Strike scene, not in the Quake scene. That's why we get more movies for our CS section than for any other section. We would be happy if we had some admins who helped us keep the Q3 section up2date. |

So some people are allowed to pick their favorites before we are asked to vote? We pick our favorites from their favorites, pretty stupid selection then imo.

This "best of" was a total joke and no where representative of the best efforts
