First, thanks for all people that took the time to comment my #1 video :D All critics were taken in consideration and evaluated :) Now the hard work of a good q3 frag movie has began :D
First step was to get the best config and the best method of capture.. here are 2 examples of how the final movie will look (without effects yet).
This is how 1st person will look like, the 3rd person will be in freecams, fell free to say your opinions :)

This frag msg's size is quite hurting and ruin the screen overall look.
U should also down size the pickup string and the 'maybe' remove the score box, at least rediuce these too.
I think u'r using r_mapoverbrightbits "3" ?
With z-effect's mod r_mapblablabla "2" will keep up the darken aspect of Q3 and make the "new light eye-candy" more powerfull.
800*450 : yeah why not.
Anything else looks good to me.

@nigthwing: sniff :'( is baseq3, can't do that :)
Also i like the movie effect on removing all stuff, but those things will be acomplished with other pos-editing and maybe it will stay good!
Else this is the maximum things you will see in a hud (regarde that i have a Battlesuit and nothing is apearing :D also no more extra icons except the Awards (excelent, impressive, humiliations)
@murah: hum.. test it tomorrow :) also the final color won't be like this, it will be edited :D
I would gladly remove the scorebox, if there's a way :|

emmm too tired to read wut other peeps said :( ...almost 4:00 am .. and ive been workin haaard all day ... so im nakerd .. anyways i think the style of ur movie should have like cg_draw2d 0 or somrthin ... and a little widescreen :P but not the squashed widescreen thingy .. just the like crop one thingy .. emm nott sure .. but if u aint gonna frag some well known or great uber plaers then u might aswell turn death messages off :( ..
anyway really lookin forward to ur vid :D:D loved ur teaser :) good luck ..
if u need a hand with anyythin << raz is here :P .. girls come first ;)

try ch_(or cf_)fragmsg 8x8 is nice or 10x10 the scores... nah. the crosshair i was going to use for my next mvoie i like it :)

@murah: hm... mapOverBrightBits 2.8 :) ok, i tryed with 2 but that seems a little to excessive and sometimes i can't see well what's hapening, also i like a little effect but not to much :) i think is better that way.. but damn good eyes for telling it was 3 :D baseq3 doesn't have ch or cf commands but i have ways to turn around that :)
@zale: crossair size 16, and its the one i use or actually playing :) hate big cross :p but it's to give the ideia were i'm pointing at :D i can't change frag sizes or score sizes :(( but i kinda like that way.. hm.. don't know yet
@razorb: hm.. to squished? well the actual extraction is 1024x768 reduced to 800x600, then after my brother does the effects i reduce to wide :) well don't forget that this ain't gonna be like a normal frag movie ;) it's a story in some parts so that's why i wanted to give that cinema feeling.. also 800x450 is the same 'widess' that my movie teaser :D which was 600x360, seemed right there no? ;)
Fragging someone important?? Well that guy ain't gonna be in my movie, BGF addicted :\ used on DM14 and even tried to do RJ to the BFG pad on DM15.. damn Tânia always railed him when we went there lol what do you consider important? I have one from 2ex NoFear, other from Warnell, one of V1cent, and several from my friends :D i would like to give my friends highlights ;)
I also feel that cg_draw2d should be 0 but there is a way to show the hud that will be enjoyable (at least that's what we're trying to do), don't forget that you are seeing a 'nude' screnshot ;)

I think that you sould create the movie the way you like to and not others, becouse if you will listen to many other oppinions then you will get mixed-up and your movie will be... ummm f***** up IMHO.
Of course a couple of good advises won't hurt!

i'd say dont use a hud at all.
just my opinion, i never really care bout how many health u have or who u fragged and what item u picked up :x
oh and.. dont resize to another aspect ratio, mostly, apart from the fact that it looks shit, u'll loose quality. Normally if youre resizing from 800x600 to 800x450 ( wich u shouldnt do btw, its not common aspect ratio, better go for 800x432 ) pixels get wider and stuff. better crop a part and go for cg_gunz 2-5 ( find out whats the best for ur res ). or maybe a combination of crop and resizing so the 'widescreen effect' isnt as obvious. 600-432 = 168. crop 50 on top and 50 on bottom then resize the rest. or just crop it all q:D
/edit, nevermind, 800x450 is 16:9 ... stupid me, just woke up ;]
