Seriously Tania has done a lot for me, helping me on my latest movie. She has done a lot for the site too, writing tutorials and converting many movies for the stream. The only reasons why she hasn't become admin was because of her traffic limitations.

@bacchus: i think that information is outdated :( and about the admin: that was the main reason i didn't became admin but (there's always a but) i didn't want people to say i became admin because i was female :\
@booze: nice effects, i'm impressed! when you're done please pm the url's so i can put them in the "professional toutch" topic (if you want) also another favor: can you resize the pic? i made the tutorial to be exactly xxx characters and your pic ruins the site layout :| also i'm counting to put around 30 links in each topic.. i'll have to do it myself since spook was the only one who gave a big help :) so, later... on vacation now ;)

Blending frames...that sounds awesome. All the third person stuff in my vid looks nice, but the first person looks laggy.
So how does this frame blending work?

There's no chance I'll think that T. You put a lot of effort in to this place. You deserve it!
Apart from that, keep this thread updated and put some more 3D modelling programs.

Same as Cwitts.
You have done a lot for the site, and your post count shows some activity here :p.
Anyone who has been a little on the site knows that you being admin wouldn't be becasue you are a girl, and for the others who haven't been a little on the site... they don't even know you are a girl :p.
And about the fact admin would choose you because you are a girl... I haven't even been able to know how old you are (even if I have an idea, let's say at +/- 2-3 years), no way to have a single pic (I promess I have tried guys :p), so what would be the advantage for us to have a girl in the admin team?

Well, I considered Tania a girl when I saw this nick :)
And I can well prove that she would not be admin only because of being a girl. I'm on this forum for about two weeks now and I saw her nick already in the first days. She's very active, writing great posts which already helped me a lot and she gave me some critics on my movies which helped me very much.
Thanks for that, did just want to shout that out. Good job Tania, keep going :)

I told you you have to work a litle too ;)
Check: VII. Extraction - The first link for my movie tips, you have the way i do it in vegas..
You can be laggy for several reasons:
1. your original demo has low fps (correct re-recording with sdc)
2. you are trying to extract with external programs
3. you must extract a exact multiple from your final fps
You can also use other programs to do that...

That wasn't to be taken that serious :) i know many would think that, but the regulars wouldn't ;) As bacchus said, the main reason if because i have traffic limitation, else i would be helping the video admins :o

hi i captured the .tga frames (screenshots) from a cod demo (q3-engine) with cl_avidemo 300 as you said in the tutorial insteed of cl_avidemo 30 it gets realy nice but ONE problemo when i put the frames togheter in VirtualDub and do a .avi file it goes in slomotion.. is it suppose to do that? do i have to speed it up? and how do i do that? never used VirtualDub before always used VideoMach
and if iam going to use ingame-sound should i put it thogheter in VirtualDub or wait until i put it in the editing program (Adobe Premier 7 pro)?
btw realy gj with the tutorial realy helpful for a noob like me

You add the sound that you record in the final editing program like Vegas or Premiere.
You only capture in 300fps if you have TGA_Hook and the setting "Save every 10th frame".
Then it will capture normal frames but only create 30 per second because it creates a mix of 10 pics after capturing 10 pics. Then you have your 30fps avi.
You usually always get work with avis which are already in your final movie framerate (like 30fps and not 300). Sorry, wait for anyone else to post the TGA_Hook link or google it, I got it from a friend.

Nop, "save every 10th" is to write in every 10th frame all the 10frames in jpg, tgahook doesn't blend

nooo, after you get cl_avidemo 300, you import in vegas and set vegas project properties at 30fps to blend 10 frames in 1, so you will have 30fps but they will look 300fps :)
THEN you import to virtualdub.. actually you don't need to import to virtual dub, because you can export from vegas directly the avi ;) no sounds, just images.
What you are having troubles is that virtualdub is recognizing the 300fps has 30fps because in the video tab you have frames set to 30 (limit is 199 so you can't do nothing in virtuadub), so that's why you have to import in vegas.
About the ingamesound, it's your choise, you can have it directly on the videos, or in premiere you add the wav (i think this last way is better).
So what you have to do is to worry on images first and make 30fps avi, then you go record wav's and join them on premiere

Yes, actually I meant that, I expressed it wrong. Phew, that would be so nicely stupid :P Capturing at 300 and saving only every 10th frame. I mean every 10th frame TGA_Hook creates one jpg out of these ten. I meant that by saying "a mix of 10 pics". But I understood the main idea, didn't I?
I have a question too: Lyon Connection has that blurred TGA_Hook effect. It looks amazing, was captured at 1000fps I heard. If I capture at 300fps only, won't I get that effect like three times as big as in Lyon C.? :)

No, again: save every 10th frame is:
writing @300fps but only writes when it reads 10 frames.. NO BLENDING!!!
