Hi everybody! I'm workin on a small q3 (ra3) movie. Normaly i record the demos with Fraps, but as fraps is'n that good and the quallity suck, do i now record with cl_avidemo. I use the program called pjBmp2Avi, to collect all .tga files to a avi file. But what codec is best ? Now i use Xvid MPEG-4, the quallity is really nice. But here is my problem, if im adding the avi (with codec mpeg-4) file to Adobe premiere pro 7, and add it to the timeline, it's only black, like there is no picture. Whats wrong ? :( is there maybe a xvid mpeg-4 plugin for premiere.
then one more question, whats the best cl_avidemo.... cl_avidemo 30 or cl_avidemo 100 ? i tryed both things but i cant get the .tga files cut together if im using avidemo 100 (framerate ??). With avidemo 30 its working ( framerate 30).
I hope some of you guys can help me a little with my problems. If you dont understand what i mean ask pls :)
Have a nice Day qriise..

Thank you soo much man, I just downloadet the codec and tryed. Workes fine, expet playing the file in Windows media player classic, it lagges allot. But not in premiere ;) thanks :)

you can import the tga`s into premiere directly without messing around encoding them and cutting them.
in the file import window highlight the 1st screenshot then check the numbered stills box at the bottom.
export your movie as uncompressed then use virtual dub to encode it to xvid.

Thanks man you just saved my day:) But how do i save as uncompressed i premiere? I just tryed cl_avidemo 30. and then just like you told import tga files to premiere.. Then i just choosed - file -> export - movie (ctrl+m). But the quallity is bad :( ( some settings i have to make before saving the avi) ? The tga files from q3 are recordet at a high resolution. And i had to mini mize it a little( under effect controlses) so it fit the sequence window, and it's not zoomed in soo much.. maybe thats the problem ?
