Hi there, I was hoping you could help me!

With FRAPS I get muffled sound recording Natural Selection, a Half Life modification.

It's some kind of problem with the Half Life engine sound, because while running it (not NS, just Half Life) the same thing happens.

Note that running the game muffles ALL the sound recorded from my computer (with the game minimized).

I have tried changing several audio settings (A3D support on/off, EAX support on/off, sound quality high/low, even disabling microphone...), nothing worked.

I have tried with another version of fraps, logically it shouldn't be the problem but was a try, nothing happened.

I can't try changing the drivers because my first problem was that I couldn't record any sound at all. So I changed drivers, but there is no more drivers version, just two... checked everywere.

I have an integrated sound card, Soundmax is the program for sound card configuration. Motherboard: Asus M2N-E.

I have tried playing the demo in a demo player (Seismovision), but the program wouldn't play Natural Selection demo files.

So, now I'm trying to get help from someone else! I hope someone has a solution. Tomorrow I will try installing the game in the family computer, but I have a bad feeling because the sound card is also Asus Motherboard integrated...
