is there a simple way I can make gamesounds become the same speed as my video output? I output at 40fps and the timescale seems to be around 0.97 because of this I think, of course I would like all the sound to happen when they should! after maybe 4-5 seconds the gamesounds are obviously ahead of the footage. I didnt have this issue capturing at 25FPS so Im sure its down to the frame rate.
So before I waste some time doing lots of tests to work out the timescale I need to make the game when recording sound, any tips/squations would be nice.

Dunno if you found the answer or not but... in game audio sync is very hard, especially when you do speed changes to the video.
If the video clip is short, it shouldnt be to much of a problem to sync it. for longer clips you can chop up the ingame audio track and reposition parts to be in sync. For example for q3 I would just sync up the major sounds like kills, rails, etc. I assume you are capturing the audio seperatly from the video. cap the video at 40, then just play back the demo at normal speed and capture the audio. then in your editing program put the video clip on the timeline so it plays back at real speed. shouldnt have a problem syncing. also you cant change the speed of a audio track to much or it will sound bad. editing and syncing the sound in vegas isnt to hard, dunno if you are using the program or not but I recommend it.
