| Definitely going to try this game out.
It's free, it's almost identical to Q3A (not that the little details matter to me) and it's available to lots of people. This could turn out to be a major hit. If not... Well, it's free.
Although I'm expecting to see id's servers totally crashing under the strain when the game launches. And server problems all around afterwards, already dreading the ping problems.
At this point the only question is: Will it support moviemaking? :)
If it does Shaolin better get their asses in gear. EDIT: Sorry for the mess, Opera's screwing with the forums. |

i was thinking when u wrote this could be a major hit... is this maybe an answer to EA's Battlefield Heroes? Which is also free and also made for a larger group of ppl to play. I must say that i can't wait for this game to come out either :). Movies of the game even made my wife (who hates to play games) curious and said she is going to play the game :S. Are there movies of this Quake Live ?

| Ye, the Quakecon matches were pretty convincing in my opinion. The only thing worrying me is the amount of work I have to put into the game before I stop getting my ass handed to me :) I might try BF: Heroes as well but I don't think it'll hold my interest for long. Deathmatch's where it's at and no game beats Quake at that. |
