I HATE IT!

Recorded video using VirtualDub and dumpframes. My desktop resolution is 1680x1050. My game resolution is 1280x1024 (size of screen shots also). I am now trying to render from Sony Vegas...

I've spent too long, more than 3 days trying to figure out the mystery to get rid of all the black bars!
In my video, I get about a 1 inch black bar on top and bottom, and 2 inch black bar on the left and right of the video.

I've tried so many resolutions, and even messed with aspect ratio changing it from 4:3 to 16:9, and its still pretty much the same thing. I've tried settings such as "Stretch video to fill output frame size (do not letterbox), in Sony Vegas and still them damn black bars.

My mission is to create a video with no letterbox, except maybe a 1 inch on the top and bottom.

I appreciate anyone who can school me on this subject.
Thanks.

sounds like a pixel aspect ratio issue to me; check your vegas project settings and make sure pixel aspect ratio is set to 1.0

Thanks guys i fixed it.
It WAS the pixel aspect ratio.

I wasn't gonna even bother trying what you guys said because all my settings in vegas were already set to 1 for the aspect ratio. What I had to do was right click on the video clip and go to properties and UNCHECK the setting named ' maintain aspect ratio '.

Thanks guys.
