Xvid - Constant Errors During Final Compressionreply | view profile | pm | quote
Hi, im having some annoying troubble with my xvid codec =x

seems when i try to export a movie using the settings shao posted (high quality) I get an error saying:

"unknown error -100" or something along those lines. Has anyone had this before, or knows howto fix it, or even a new codec with the same kind of file size to quality ratio as xvid? Im using Keopis stable build, all xvid builds i try do the same, im running xp home if it makes any differance. All other codecs seem to export, but xvid is the best, and my chosen one for this project.

Although it gives a corrupted data error (it says "unknown error, perhaps corrupted data") all other codecs dont seem to have any troubble compressing it. If some one could help, it would be awsome. Thanks!

I don't get the same errors as that but usually what works for me is a reboot. Sometimes xvid says it can't find the codec or something, and I reboot and its all fine and dandy.

Did you check to see if there was a newer version out of your xvid codec build?

I edit my videos with Premiere and export them uncompressed (last one was about 28GB?)
Then I import the file into Windows Movie Maker - Put the parts into the timeline and then I save the video on harddisc (highest possible MBsize)

VirtualDub sais:
You have not installed the complete Microsoft Windows Media Video 9 VCM package in your systerm. In order to use this codec effectively, please download the complete package from
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/codecs/vcm.aspx.
The package includes help documentation and sample parameter files.

If you find this package and manage it to work.. please tell me! :)

me stupid... :/ the link is:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/codecs/vcm.aspx

and there is the package :)

it is included in my vegas 4c package, didnt had to install any further packages, and well my settings arent complicated. audio is vbr quality 75% video is 2400kbps vbr twopass ( they are much more settings in the wmencoder - in vegas you can adjust em that exact ) Also somehow if i create avi files > 2gig they are corrupted ( and YES i have ntfs ;x )
