@Zippo - Use double your project res for your capture. ie: Project: 640:480 = Source: 1280:960 That way the pixels will scale properly as the aspect ratio does not change.
@dermafioso - Check your cfg file for res settings. Either Custom or capture res should be specified, I haven't played JK3 at all so I can't tell you the specifics of it. If you need a hand, post a copy of your cfg and I'll take a look for you.

So how can i make them 1600x 1200? |
JKA uses the same commands as q3. Heck, 1600x1200 is in the GUI selection!

Graphic user interface (in-game).
If it's not there, try this:
seta r_customaspect "1" // not sure about the use of this one seta r_customheight "1200" seta r_customwidth "1600" seta r_mode "0" // or "-1" I'm not sure

| if your screen can't handle such high resolutions, just run q3 in window mode ( r_fullscreen 0 ) |

hmm, i wouldn't think so. should be whatever your desktop is, unless you've forced "always use 16bit" in your vid card options or in game video properties.

r_mode 9 is 1600x1200 ; r_mode 10 is 2048x1536 if your vid supports it , saddly it only works for TGA for me. (9mb files each)

It only captures @ 16bit if you set it so under the in game menu or force your gfx card drivers to run everything in 16bit mode. You can also check under your Q3 shortcut because you can force the bit rate there.

I think I know a quicker way to resize images. With Irfan View you can have the same result but without having to open & display all images, it is a smaller program with less hardware reqirments and it is free and my favorite image viewer^^
In Irfan View go to Files/Batch Conversion. 1. Browse to your images select them and press the Add button 2. Select the Output directory 3. Work as: Batch conversion 4. Select the Output format to TGA or BMP 5. Check the Advanced options box and hit the button below 6. Check the Resize box and set both size to what you want in pixels and check the Use Resample function and press OK and hit the Start button
There are many more options to use in the anvanced window, I'd like to point out the CROP function.
If you don't want your video to be full screen you can crop the images during resizing to save hard disk space.
For explame if you want to make a 800x450 video from 1600x1200 images you have to select the Y Coord to 150 this way you cut off the top 1600x150 part of the images and set the height to 900 so you cut off the bottom 1600x150 and set the resize to 800x450.
150+900+150=1200 900/2=450
or to get 640x360 from 1280x960
280+720+280=1280 720/2=360
Sorry for my bad spelling or english or wathever!

Hi.
First off, i would like to thank Sean for precising and clearing up things for better comprehention :)
Second off, I'm trying to encode an 800x600 clip @ 5120 kbps, but i seem to be having trouble with my B-Frames.
What's the ideal setting for B-Frames?
