I think that it's good that you ask everyone what they want to stay or to change for v9.
I have commented "how it's currently. |

I actually tend to not look for names, but instead use Avatars to tell who the poster was

i never noticed that patern till you guys brought it up.. I too look at avatars almost all the time, but was curious to know if people wanted "just the meat" of the comments.

Keep how it is. But maybe you should set a limit to the size of the sig, because sometimes people come with a huge pic in their sig (often by mistakes btw). Anyway I don't look at avatars to tell who is the poster, because most of the time there is no avatar (waiting for v9 for a full firefox compatibility :p). I think avatars and sig are a way for the poster to introduce himself, so keep it that way.

Alcohol is the answer, but I can't remember the question!

yea, the name would obviously stay.. I don't think I mentioned that I would remove the name.

I did not vote for anything cause I think there should be a function in the "personal-settings" where you can set how you want it (with or without sig/avatar).

a cookie option to disable / enable sigs/ava's would be great. i often check O-A.com out at work, and i don't want some of the dodgier pictures appearing on my 21" screen in the office. :-D

It's easy to keep track of who's who in the zoo cause my Firefox doesn't always load avatars so I can tell via signature...
