I watch gaming media for entertainment and to see what new things brings latest movies... Sadly, many of them are just a waste of time! I hope this situation will change in the future...

entertainment sake/motivation. i watch trick movies and they inspire me to go make demos, but i love watching just to entertain me.

Definately for entertainment sake and especially for the artistic side you know, even if this aspect is not here all the time. That's one of the main reasons (for me at least) but it doesn't mean that i don't watch them also for fun in the case of a pure frags movie.
