| Plain old 17" CRT. But I'm going to be ordering a 21" CRT for about $90. Those LCD's are nice, but they're too expensive and I don't really have a need for a flat panel. |

I'm using 17" and 19" CRT moitors and will only pick up a LCD as soon as the response time drops to 1ms or lower. I can already score a 2ms 19" LCD but the price is shocking.

lcd is pointless as it looks gay in light, costs a lot, has a longer response time... and generally doesnt look any better to me

My lcd is not anything like the above statement. Yes, some LCD monitors have slower response times.. but you get what you pay for.
The one thing I don't like about my LCD monitor is the backlighting issue. But I really only notice it when Initially loading up my computer.

I've a 17"LCD IIYAMA Prolite E430. It does the job for me. What i like most about LCD screens is the room it provides on the desk. So when i fall a sleep behind it, i don't have to lay down on the keyboard :D Its such an inprovement....;)

Sean, you need to learn how to do wiring cause it's a bit of a mess behind the desk... :P Nice monitor, to expensive in SA though. I like the fact that Quake4 is sitting on your desk!!! :)
