I play none of these games, so I woud say none. I am interested in the cs girls tournament idea, because on one hand it is a good way to show girls can play video games at a high level, but on the other hand putting them in a separate tournament puts them apart, as if they were not skilled enough to play in a male tournament...

Alcohol is the answer, but I can't remember the question!

I'm against that too, there was also a missquakecon btw :)
I remember to play chess competitions and i entered in normal and girls competition.. so lamme even if at the time i didn't think about it :\
It only makes sense in physical events because men/women have different bodies! Well if we think about it, men/women think differently and use different parts of the brain.. lol

| I dont think mixing guys and girls would be a good idea. Men are traditinally hunters. Their brain was formed for search and destroy for thousends of years. Thats why men should be better at this type of games cause women are not designed for search and destroy. |

I'd like to see what comes of the Quake 4 Competition, but other than that, I'd like to see the CS Women Tourney although they should have an open as well for men/women/mixed teams to compete...

You know that i've been searching things related with that issue with a friend and came to a few conlcusions that i'm very suprised :)
This is why it took me like 3 years to beat xaero lol well it seems that the capacity of learning is slower for women due to her genes, but practice can make them equal ;)
And many more things that i didn't realized that had any influence :) gg

Biggy, I wish you would study some English... @ Tania, it all comes down to natural instincts really. Base drive for survivability is higher in men than in women due to many generations having to fight in order to live, thereby decreasing our natural reaction time, increasing our aggressiveness and thereby making us better suited for reaction based sports/activities. The playing field can be leveled pretty easily none the less with just some practice but due to the sedentary lifestyle of the majority of people these days, everybodies reactions, co-ordination and general drive control mechanisms suck! So, all in all, there is not a major gap to jump to get women on the same level as men. We are only a fraction ahead compared to times gone by...

Because...? You seem to be restricted by holding on to stereotypes. If Tania's conclusion is wrong, can you say why it is wrong (without even having looked at the evidence they found)? Because I sure hope your comment isn't based on her gender.
From the little you say I'd have to conclude that your comment is based on nothing but thin air, instigated by thinking in stereotypes. I would be glad to be proven wrong :)
