under 'proper hierarchy' I would suggest having either a script programmed where people could type (for example) !question how do i do xxxx, and the 'helpers' would get a command where you could submit an answer to the question which would be re-directed to the one who asked the question, which then can either leave the question open, or close it and mark it answered (and maybe add all the questions/answers in some database).
That, or have the 'helpers' voiced (thus recognizable) in the irc channel, so people will know who to ask questions.
I made this poll to find out wether or not the actively running & moderating of the irc channel is worth the effort or not.
As i'm seeing it, right now, all the people who need information regarding editing just ask their questions in the channels of 'know moviemaking groups' like shaolin productions, ultraviolet and a lot of others.
If we manage to get this running, an own-age.com channel would become a good place to quickly get an answer to your questions regarding moviemaking or this site. (where the 'helpers' would be able to answer a question regarding moviemaking, and the moderators (+@) would be able to answer questions regarding this site).

definetly. own-age.com has long been known as a central game media site. only fitting it has a channel to match. simple news item could be created to show ppl how to setup irc and connect.

Questions and answers, imo, should be delivered in the main channel so that everyone can help with an answer or benefit from a solution.
On quakenet I would suggest that @s are admins of this site so as not to generate any confusion and +s are people you think are of benefit to the channel (helpers, movie makers etc)

we allready have 2 channels at this point, enterthegame and quakenet, we're leaving it with those two. (/server -m ! :D)

If I had alot more time I would definitely be one there helping where I can. atm I don't have much time after moving to a new department in my company and having to learn 2 new programming languages... :/
