Too simple for me :|
I don't want to see own-age.com as a everyday blog site.. i still say you need to keep v9 in the spirit, and remove a few stuff, not start from scratch..
And those news weren't posted by me at all.. i can't write perfect English xD
Changes: - pass from 2s to 30s update PM - remove google search (at least from maim) - i use the 2 side blocks, but that's because i'm a veteran, for others may be a bit too much - don't lose the forum even if the goal is to have videos download - banner up of all - skins available
edit: oh yeah.. after those weeks with some site problems i got 2 new pm messages that don't exist.. can it be reset? :)

I agree with Tania, this version is already good, starting from scratch would take too much time, and the design you made looks too simple, the current version looks more serious. I only regret that it's restricted to a certain small resolution, could be more to enlarge it a bit, just a thought.
Also, I'd like to have this blog fonction working, would be really cool to see people posting their thoughts about moviemaking & stuff, about movies etc. that's something you don't have in the forum, and that's about the only thing I miss with this site.

alright, I'll see what I can do with this style of a design.. maybe if I can redo this design in different/lighter colors.

registered users get redirected to a different thread then guests :P
layout wise the things i like best about this current design is: +altering background colors on listing tables +good contrast between background colors + text colors on the tables +good contrast on the breadcrums compared to the rest of the site, make them stick out +centering + vertical infinity +dynamic headers +general orange/blue colorset
siteblocks are great, but i think two sets of siteblock reduce the space of the 'main site' by a bit too much i think.
what, to me, would have priority would be more admin features, user management etcetera, that way more admins can fix possible profile problems or ban users if neccisary. The thing you had in mind for v9 to have a usergroup of people allowed to post news might still be good to keep the content coming. (or at least submit for evaluation by an admin)
