Alucard is over 400 years old, and he is a true vampire. Besides his many powers as a vampire, he also uses guns to fight the undead. He is virtually indestructible, because he can regenerate himself... Alucard is one of the original vampires, he fights for the Hellsing Organization. We don't really know who Alucard is, some people believe he is Vlad the Impaler who was notorious for impaling his victims on poles. And yes, the name "Alucard" is  "Dracula" spelled backwards.
