Tried to add the mirror but don't think it worked. Copy that in your browser, after it starts loading close WMP (or whatever you watch wmv's with), then File > save page as.

If anything this flick is a perfect advertisement for why Source hasn't gained more pro coverage. Those demos were just atrocious.
Great job with what you had to work with. Hopefully Valve will get their shit together one day and make srctv live up to what it should be.

Direct-TV seems to like the good old source...
btw the laggy demos are a result of my crap internet connection...
arent u the guy who made that awsome smoothing tutorial?

Wow those were POV's? eek. There's definitely something wrong with
source, and I think it's server side. I pub on 2 different servers,
both 66 tick. What's really odd is the one I get a lower ping on have
choppier demos. Go figure. So there's probably some server side cvar
that has to do with the smoothness, cuz it's not the tick rate or the ping.
btw I added some info on the
VDC
wiki about the cam_command and some other cvars to go along with
it. So you can get some 3rd person stuff out of your own POV's. The
"Complete Pubbish" link in my sig has an example, but that was before I
figured out how to unlock it from viewing from the side only. So you
can rotate around yourself anyway you want, face yourself or face the
enemy, etc.
All that's left is to find out how to get true free chase in 3rd person. May even be just a simple cvar, like spec_mode 3 or whatever it is for free chase, haven't played with it yet. And I'm sure there's a way to zoom in and out, too. Or there should be, if not someone can probably code that in kind of like the mirv tools for 1.6. Then you could do long sweeping shots zooming in on yourself while spinning around yourself, etc.
