just straight up in your face frags. lots of nice kills, lots of average kills. some omg ones.. fast paced action with face paced music. small details/fx (quad) add to the experience. nice use of slowmo where needed. i loved some of the highres pics at the end.. cool stuff. not much on editing but attention to the frags.
not sure if it was my codec or not but the video seemed a little grainy.. anyone else?

Some very nice frags, especially in the second half of the movie. Nice LG action and some nice airs. but the other frags were to similar to each other.. same map/place etc.
And that linkin park song (or whatever it is).. without lying, i have heard that in about 5 fragmovies already (2-3 rtcw, 2-3 q3). plz be more original. But the use of the "requiem for a dream" soundtrack was nice. that's the part of the movie i liked best.
And there was a grainy pattern all through the movie, which was really annoying, maybe that's a codec issue. and i don't really care for those color filters either, they took away the experience of the nice frags.
not a keeper for me.

Very nice frags. Linkin park song way overused. Requiem for a Dream song didn't fit the vid at all. I didn't like the grainy-ness either, but the skill was amazing.
Def a keep for me.....hope to see more from this author. |

ok dunno about that grainy stuff... don't have it on my computer
indeed lot of practice on dm6;) i'll go out to other maps:P
but if anyone has cool program to help me to improve my editing /compression it'd be very helpfull anyway thx for fixing the link that fast;)

Some really great frags! Put it in my favorites for this reason. But as Manolito said always same kind of frags on same maps (mostly dm6, a very nice little serie on dm17 at the end). The picture rolling at the end were very nice too, but except that editing really sucked. Songs overused, absolutely no sync to a point that can be disturbing (you change song in the middle of a frag...). I really noticed the granny stuff too, probably a codec issue. I think you should use xvid (check this link http://www.own-age.com/forum/thread.aspx?id=5883&page=1 ). I think a redone version of this vid could be really great.

actually, from my experience, the grainy stuff is due to his q3 config. a setting was not set correctly or high enough causing those pixels to be shown. You can verify for yourself by noticing just the q3 sequences have it.. and the transitioning images do not.
This video shows the average q3 editing with some good, and a some great frags. Average being, no sync, just put em all together and let em rip, Although the blue screen symbolizing the quad was a nice touch. Was enjoyable even with the classic q3 style editing.

I was kind of bored... although it was my favorite soundtrack used from every movie ever... linkin park + evanescence own you all! :D sigh. Hate that music with a passion. 200 megs and the quality was sub-par... movies that stay at the same map bore the hell out of me. Some of the frags look setup (not saying they are but even if they look like it kinda bothers me)... I definately don't agree with toked... those pics at the end were funny (in a bad way)... the blue shaded overlay for the quad runs is seriously being over done now. Xaero originality. ;)
not bad for a first movie though...

Ok first off i like the pixel look for some reason it intrigues the eye. The Video was slow and the beginning music and ending music fit well. The blue quad effect was a nice touch and creative...you could still see the action which is a plus...problem was the Linkin Park song. It just did not fit well in this video at all. It did not sync anything nor was it good to here between two slow songs. I enjoyed the slow mellow with frags of this video. As for frags. Some were jaw dropping such as everyone up to the Linkin park song were good then when Linkin Park came on they got boring and dull easy shots up until the end of the linking park song Around 5:59 in the movie u moved to map q3dm17 and the frags came back that were cool. For me the LP song and the frags in it were not needed and downgraded the video.
The best part by far was the end of the movie those still frames were f***ing insanely nice and i liked them a lot as a bonus touch which gives u lots and lots of creativity points. |

Awesome frags, real A++ stuff...But the music...Wow, really killed it.
The techno was bearable...but that Linkin Park garbage which has been used in nearly every frag movie to date...Come on.
Overall: 5/10 - Better choice in music would have bumped it up to an 8 or a 9 :(
