The best way to start this is probably by telling you about the genesis of this project. It was very simple, really. Since I was willing to
make a cod2 movie, and didn't play the game myself, the idea of finding a "moviemakable" player started to grow on me. At this time, back2theroots had just been
released, and I had already been amazed by MAXXUR's skills in stixxur 1&2, and other movies I'm not going to list. So, I simply came to find him
on IRC, and boldly asked him for his demoes. I was pretty much expecting a negative answer, or even, no answer at all. But actually, I got the exact opposite. After
watching my previous works, he uploaded me a bunch of demoes to work with...
So I had to become familiar with a game and a community I only knew from the few movies I had watched, and do it quickly.
That's a tough thing to do, but Bart (MAXXUR) really helped me on this, from the movie cfg to the explanation of what cod2 players expect from a cod2 movie.
All of this happenned during November 2k6, the first avi file I used in the movie, after making some tests, was rendered the 26/11/06.

As you can see, finding a name for the video didn't take much time, unlike the rest of the process...
Starting a new project has always been a lot of excitement for me, and MAXXURECTED hasn't been an exception : I had almost edited 50% of the movie before the end of the year.
2k7 started with a lot of stuff in my life. First off, I had to figure out where to study in September, and then, I had to work a lot to pass my exams, which I did.
With all that stuff going on, I almost lost any motivation to make a movie, especially dealing with cl_avidemo which must be the slowest capturing method available.
But I didn't give up, and hopefully, people will like the result of all this work as much as Bart and I do.
I have to say Bart gave me the strenght to end this project, during the last week, his messages on msn showed me how much he wanted the movie to be released, and
I achieved the project thinking he was more impatient than me about that. Overall, the collaboration with Bart worked well, I believe I'm a lucky guy, and I think such a flawless
cooperation doesn't happen a lot when it comes to make a movie for someone. I must have sent like 100 betas to him, and he paid me back with the same amount of ideas, which hopefully resulted
in a better movie.
As you'll see, this movie differs a lot from other cod2 movies, starting with the color correction...and well, I was about to say new musics, but that wouldn't be 100% true since some of the
artists I used can be heard in the new "Overrated" movie featuring Davy...Luckily, goLd didn't use the same tracks as in mine, so it still can look fresh.

Bad things about the movie:
Intro wasn't the best possible. I did like the white screen, black figures and blood but they were there for just a few seconds and the way the "MAXXURECTED" was shown wasn't really impressive with the kill on the backround.
I also didn't like the "Now get ready for the last part", I think it was pointless but it did look good and went well with the music.
Quality could've been better but the filesize is small so that's not a real issue.
Well that's about all the bad things I came up with when I watched Maxxurected the first time.
Everything else was just awesome. CoD2 movies have lacked a real atmosphere but this one definetly had a feelin to it.
Even Decerto's frags don't come close to those of Maxxur's,they were simply sick. Damn.
Editing was excellent (and well above the usual cod2 fm stuff), you really highlighted the frags (a concept that many moviemakers can't seem to understand). You really put work into the synch and it paid off. Awesome flow.
Transitions worked out just fine, no complaints there.
I like how the music was mixed together, you managed to keep the flow and action going very well.
CoD2 movie makers have a lot to learn from this one.

I agree it's better than Decerto but DIGNITAS - Made In Britain is still the best CoD2 movie for me. I like the music of the Dignitas movie more and with all the lan info it has a better feeling than this.
This movie has a realy good sync and nice color correction but some hud messages were disturbing like "press F to swap weapon".

I was very disapointed =/ by the video but not completely
First the good points :
_The intro was really nice, I really like the blood stuff and the font, short and make me impatient to see the whole movie
_The game quality was awesome and I find the video really smooth
_The content is nice, maxxur a some really good frags like reflex kar and you did a nice job with the synch
_I really like the music you choose
and then the "bad thing" :
_i like the musics but you switch to often, for me it brake the line of the movie
_some frags are good but there are lots I found without any interest, maybe because I don't play cod²
_and "the worst" I don't see the RatQuiRit's Touch in this movie, I mean effects everytimes , nothing wich made me say : wow....but when i saw the "get ready for the last part" I hope it'll come but nothing , here I get a bit bored at the end
_I expect far better from you, more after you say that you spend 9 month to make it

When I downloaded this Vid was so excited infact i was expecting a lot due my previous experiences with maxxur's movies. He is my favorite moviemaker and i Loved all his movies, mainly Stixxur2 which i mark as the best COD2 movie still not beaten. I liked FX,quality,frags,but not the music, 1200 mics and Astrix have amazing songs,but u choosed the worst ones :D Stixxur2 is still the best movie imo, but this was wonderful attemp:) 8/10

EDIT: Just finished watching this movie and I can say it was pretty well done. The soundtrack was awesome, frags vere nice and the effects were very well used. The intro/outro could have been more creative and advanced but hey, they are not that important. Great job!
