weird and wonderful imo - totally unlike any gaming movie i've seen before, loved it.
i would've preferred some motion blur in there but i spose the lack of it added to the movies quirkiness.
well worth the download |

Thanks for letting me enjoy my meal in combination with such a great movie! Totally liked the intro and all the cams (especially those foved cams). Music was cool. Rihanna is okay but in my opinion music without any singer in the outro fits better. The Plasmagun ammo looks neat. Okay the movie wasn't finished end of august but for this vid I could wait until now =) Do another one!
P.S: Do you still have the first try? I really would like to see this :D |

never thought what i'll come to love a trickjumping movie
thats a tru synchronize, not a flashes on bit like i usually see in df/tj movies
just a little hm.. report? - about part which is beginning at 8-24:
if your "actor" moving from left to right area of screen, he _must_ move the same (from left to right) in next part of video - thats a "real" movies rule, not mine :>
in either case your viewer will be like "wtf is going on"
I'd like to see just a little more insertions like "mozaik plasma-climbing" (++ for it) for keeping attention and relaxing mind of viewer - but its just my opinion.

pfff very nice movie, sick content, crazy editing and very refreshing =). As a non q3a player the only thing that bothered me was that some cams did not show you how everything went, so since I don't know the maps that these people played in I just didn't understand some of the moves
still, 9.5/10 for me, very nice job on the vid + crazy content =)

love that movie.
great effects, tricky tricks and a nice soundtrack that fits (imo) very good to the content. even rihanna (even if i cant hear her anymore) wasnt a bad pick at all.

Mainly two things popped into my mind when I watched this:
1. Damn that Placebo song makes you feel like there's gonna be a kick-ass chorus... But it never comes :(
2. Brilliant transitions.
EDIT: I was slightly amused by oTis' review. It reflects well the state in which gaming movies are now. Do something unique or don't do it at all. I however don't have any problem with generic movies if they are made as well as mozaik. |

I read your review /if it's really a review/ so many times... I've translated almost every word "carefully" and I'm trying to understand what is your problem with my movie and why have you written it so angry (sometimes vulgar). After I've read it I still don't know what is your problem with me or with the movie.
So, you could see nothing from this video that you have already seen before. Probably your eyes had been closed... I don't know.
All the reasons what you said the movie is wrong are junk plea... except one. That is the mention of using timescale. Maybe I have just forgotten to write it to the beginning or the end of the movie. But who cares?? Is there anyone who feels like being misled??
If yes I have to say sorry!!! And it's real cause I never wanted to mislead or trick anyone in the viewers.
Now let's see some of your words:
-"no map names" - who cares?? If somebody plays defrag he knows all the maps from
the movie. And if he doesn't know?? He should ask for it... that's what about the whole forum
thing is about.
-"CONFUSING camera work" - really you cannot see exactly what is happening on the
screen?
-"why abuse z-roll so much?" - cause I like it so much and it makes the whole camera moving look much more beautiful
and it feels like the camera is living its own life... but that's only my opinion...
for you I know it's just .. hmm "blatantly overused"
-"lose track of the tricker" - yep. You want to see everytime when that fxxxxxg model flying in the space or everywhere ??
-"synching" - yes. That was the funniest part in your review and probably the only thing that you saw in the movie
as I wanted to have it seen...
I synched almost every move or jump or rox to the music. Why?? Cause I like it, and its hard, and - you can either agree or disagree -
I think synching is essentially in gaming movies.
-"first person" - there ARE first person parts in the movie. Probably not as much as you want but some tricks are more
enjoyable with camera view. This isn't a major problem imho...
-"Content" - I see these tricks are too easy for you to perform. Ok. But I've only got these demos from the players.
-"but to me, freestyle content needs to be shown in a pure or raw form." - yes. For you in raw form. But for me? Or for
others? How do you know what does the viewer need?
-"i don't want to sound like a dick..." - but you did! Because you tried to insult me in your review. But I forgive this for you.
I think I just waste my time with writing these things for you. But for "YOU" I did it. Because you also waste your time for writing a review and tell to everybody: mozaik is a piece of shit!
I know its just your own opinion. But not everybody can write a review...
Overall:
About what you see as mistake in this movie is only my hmm editing style... and why do I make a movie like this? Cause I can. And everybody who wants to make a movie can do it in his/her own way. I don't think there are any rules for this, right?? Or... maybe in the near future, in your book... written by hmm "oTis"... and called: "How to make the best freestyle movie?". Silly, isn't it?
