thanks to own-age.com for web hosting and a big thanks to swertcw.com for ftp hosting (especially Celtic ou spend some time for dl/up my movie )
and there's no one clip used multiple times xD (you can check :p) but it can be confused some times because some are alike . =)
Next time i will try to optimize the file size ^^

no problem.
i believe you, but damn there are several occasions that seemed like the exact same clip, if it wasn't then you cut in/out from the same viewpoint on those clips..

yeah, it definately looked as tho a couple of clips were the same, mainly the quick flashes of axis spawn raping on mp_base from north east tower, although i could accept they were different shots, but similar.
compression is great, with really only the dark blue sky on beach showing signs of artifacts. I know from past experience though, that getting that sky to look good after compression is all but impossible.
same comment as i wrote on swertcw.com below..
very very nice movie, especially considering it's c-drik's first (of many i hope), it's very polished with only a few mistakes or rough areas that could've been altered up.
A nice config, a nice post clean up of the shots, nice timing, nice middle of the road music (it was bareable =), and nice encoding.
On a bad side, at times i felt it lacked direction, and any sense of flow with a majority of the movie being shot after shot - although it was good to see a varying use of third person and cg_thirdperson scripts towards the the end of the movie. At times i felt he suffered the same thing as another big rtcw movie ;) - he used clips to fit the music/movie as opposed to the best shots of skill he could get (that's not to say the shots had no skill, and i can certainly forgive that decision). Considering the amount of panzer and nade shots i was a little dismayed to see not a single proper panzer-cam or nade-cam shot. Great work though c-drik, can't wait to see more quality stuff from you!!

Toked i used Maxon Cinema 4D www.maxon.net
It's similar to 3D max but in simpler (for me), 90% of the 3D models of this room have been found on the web (free 3D models for a no commercial use)

The intro was very nice (even tho Linkin Park's been used to death) and it seemed to start off quick paced... but then just hit a flat line and stayed there. I think the panzer shots were over used and got repetative after a while. Yes i did notice it wasn't the same kills used over, but they were so similar it looked the same. It seemed all the effects were used for the start and end, and the only the simple matrix spins etc were used in the action.
But back to the good points! Quality is top notch, very clear indeed. The cam views were original and fresh ( <3 EDV). The synching was good but being spoiled by greats i like to watch over and over i felt there could have been more.
All in all tho, this being your 1st movie this is an overall excellent video. All the above things are just personal niggles and im very sure as you carry on movie making, you're vids will just keep getting better and better. Big thumbs up.. well done.

Well I'm pretty damned impressed for this being his first fragmovie, hell it's got some top quality scenes in there and some nice camera work...the office scene is very nice, I'm still wondering how the hell he made it. As for synching to the music, it looked like he did his homework for the most part.
The "repititious" scenes were a bit overwhelming, in that circumstance I felt that less is more. Unfortunately with RTCW it seems that these days everything has been done before, so new ways to spawncamp with a panzer seem few and far between. I do enjoy some of the camera work he's done, and the config looks great in my opinion. Reminds me of another movie in many ways and I'm sure I don't even have to mention which one.
I've made a couple fragmovies and I gotta say this guy has done a great job, and obviously spent a considerable amount of time on it....so I give him props and more props. Outstanding job overall, even though I still think many of those scenes should have been cut to make the movie less repititious....oh well. ;) |
