Video of the Day 1 Times

Featuring:
16+ of the best romanian quakers

Description:
After the trailer - http://www.own-age.com/vids/video.aspx?id=1192 - released in february, it is now time for the full movie. The movie features highlights from the second season of RQL (Romanian Quake League) but that's not all. The action is matched or even outdone by the catchy editing done by EroarE. Hope you enjoy it 'cause we sure did. This one is the best frag highlights romanian movie by far.

I take it this is the exception to the 20mb per minute 0_o

Nice frags and I especially liked the intro and credits, professionally done.

Good movie.

You need to get it down to an acceptable size, around 150 megs is MORE then enough to properly display your video. Make sure your using mp3 audio and good video compression. We are cracking down on misuse of bandwidth. (we will not host/mirroring videos that exceed the necessary compression settings)

We just made a news post regarding this very situation at:

hrmm.. to be honest, im very pleased, but kinda dissapointed at the same time..

creativity [7]: gj on that, great use of 3dsmax and after effects, put together some really original stuff. text in intro was money.

quality [6]: while quality itself was decent, in NO WAY should it have been 250mb. no matter how fast mirror is.

editing [8]: once again, great use of 3dsmax/AE to produce some nice stuff. gj on df cams as well.

content [4]: the frags were decent, nothing too amazing, some nice pop up mids is all. and showing frags 3 - 4+ times is really annoying and kills some parts of the video i think. i really didnt like that. but im pretty sure frags were from league matches, so ill give you that, less likely to have top content when playing against good players rather than noobs.

gj on a solid vid. can wait for part 3 :]

new project: tba [very soon]

Download worked a second time.

Dissapointing.

Pro's: Cool intro and outro.

Con's: Filesize obviously which has been said multiple times before... quality didn't even look too spectacular given the filesize; frag quality was... well, really bad. Single frags just do not cut it in quake3 movies these days; once the movie got going the editing more or less went out the window.

It would've been a good movie a few years ago... but nowadays single frags are super boring in q3.

Very nice vid, good editing and good synching with awesome music (Korn....*rrrrrrr*)! But those frags...damn, if you have to show em 3 to 4 times to fill your movie then don't...make a shorter movie, that's ok too. :) There were some good frags though, but you showed way too many times, too bad.

Nice intro and very nice outro by the way!

this vid has the best program based effects i have ever seen in a gamin vid. professional level there dang good job.

Syncing was sometimes really good. Frags were alright. Pace of the vid was good.

I know that the quality doesn't explain the size, and we are sorry for that :(... we had some problems at the final stage...some of scenes didn't see at final rendering... so i did some "tricks" who works but increase the filesize. Wright now i'm trying to find some new ways to make this thing smaller.
As about frags... just few of them ar repeating, we used for this movie 90+ scenes. The frag quality... hmmm, they are not awesome, but are ok in my opinion...

Anyway... for a first movie... i think it's ok, we're pleased with our work. :D

Thank you guys for feedback :)

well compression sucked but i do love high quality. (Xvid would have did it fine for half the size or so :/ )
-repeated frags, i hate em, so much :(

+Intro and credits were awesome, loved the intro, got me pumped up.....
-then i saw green keels. :(
-new korn was ok i guess

+but besides that it was awesome, first vid since iT-defrag that i didnt delete right away. great job, loved the "HUD" and the 3d letters/intro

very nice

Simple solution, Render it at a very high quality, then just use trail and error rendering with various codecs untill you get a good filesize/time ratio with good quality. Not too hard.. plus rendering a higher quality finished product will not take nearly as time then rendering the source with effects to be created at render time. (being, the effects will already be a part of the final video, and no additional math besides compression will be needed)

some of the frags may have been a little dissapointing, but i was highly impressed by all the effect and editing work that went into the movie. well done.

Excellent vid... awesome use of music/synching and really well executed graphics/animation... one of my favorite vids definetly... I loved korn, frags were ok ( and some were replayed too many times ;) ), frags were well synched and the editing was good. Filesize should have been smaller but i know you had problems ;) It's about the presentation for me and the part that really impressed me was the intro/outro. good job :) please...make more videos and try to get a few better frags :) very nice vid.

Nice intro/credits work... very good job there.

constantly repeated frags take me out of a movie, that was the only downfall other than the size. Frags weren't the best, but not the worst either...

I want to see more from Romania. :)

oh yeah, and I think "loading sequences" are starting to get a little played out.
