I really didn't feel this movie. I blame negoxe, I really do.
Sure there was great quality and some nice camera movements and if we judge this as a regular defrag movie it is excellent. No doubt about it. But stlil... Damn negoxe and his style.
Maybe the problem is that this movie didn't take a special direction. Nothing was too innovative, no boundaries were broken or even approached. Having multiple soundtracks just added to this feeling, it was like the movie wasn't even committed to the music playing on the background.
It was generic. Really well executed, as expected from Shaolin Productions but still so very generic.
But again, I blame negoxe. Being quite alien to defragging the content doesn't get me too excited and after having seen movies that sacrifice the content for a cinematic, atmospheric experience I wasn't too impressed with this one.
However, I am excited about Shaolin showing signs of life! Yay for that. Keep the quality coming guys. |

I partly agree with Azn, Altho, Having said that i don't let the effects of negoxe get to me, Those effects just take the tricks out of the video and can berly see what is going on...
But for this video, The tricks are awesome, Altho i sence they were timescaled, Correct me if iam wrong. If they are TS tricks, it renders the movie 'useless'..
Effects for this is alright, music allright as well. Keep up the good work, And i look forward to other videos from you (:

the movie is overall good. good quality, nice cuts, but otherwise nothing special.
creativity? 4/10 some nice cam cuts... but thats it :( nothing new/creative
quality? 8/10 good... grain destroys a lot for me :( cmon just because your pc can handle grain, there actually is no need to overuse it... already made "morning never cam" look way less impressive. tho I cant agree to see "negoxe style" in here... apart from the grain mistake. negoxe does impressive colors and effects... something absolutely not being part of this project. obviously it was not intended to be like that, not everyone prefers massive effects and astonishing visuals :D
content? 7/10 average Id say... Im not much into tricking, but saw a lot of better tricks in other vids...
editing? 8/10 best been the cuts... dof was done very good, still it is kinda standard now-a-days... syncing was ok. effects were totally missing... not saying that is bad... but the introduction "must download for any editing fan" is giving the wrong expectations :(
especially after this review I expected much more... as said it is
good... but for sure no 9/10 and especially not as review result.
imho 7/10, worth watching but dont expect too much, otherwise you mightl be disappointed. |

| No you got that wrong, there isn't much similiarities between this movie and negoxe's work. I just made the comparison because the direction negoxe's movies have taken left this one feeling really generic to me. |

| the 1080p version has extremly high quality, but has it only one audiostream?
not only bUDDh4's skill wonders, but also his creativity wonders much too. Accustomed bUDDh4's dm6 demo gladdened me much (i mean he often shows tricks at dm6 in movies and they are always pretty interesting).
mrks' work on the movie is very good. The cameras and the timescales in the movie make it very pleasant to watch. |

There are really good things about this movie, but there's also some things to be commented abuot.
I think I can understand Azn his comment. Nexogene has become a master in making very chilled movies. All the movie making elements are all adjusted to this theme. With this movie you have a smooth songs, but a lot of editing for hardcore action. This results in not connecting to this movie very well.
You really tried to push a lot of editing techniques to the edge of our skill level today. I really liked the first editing half of the movies. The way you used camera's, slomo's, smooth editing and nice transitions. A lot of times I was thinking that this was some of the best editing that I've seen in years. I think especially in the second part you went a little to hardcore. The scene's became to fast, to much rollercoaster and to much close ups.
I really loved the song. I can't say much about the tricks, but they looked fine to me.
The quality is nice, but I don't like so much grain applied.
Mrks tried to push movie making skills to the edge. It resulted in a few points that can be commented about, but it's also worth a hugh creativity bonus.
Overal I give this movie a 8/10.

well im going to disagree with all of Azn comments, all of them. tbh im sick and tired of comments like his. so lets get down to what we're really here for. THIS MOVIE. not someone else's. you cant always compare peoples movies together because each person has a different style. because in my honest opinion i like this movie better than the other. why? because its faster paced and the scenes flow really nice. what "I" would expect from a trick video. i liked the idea of 3 streams very nice. the tricks in the video were good (since im not a quake player i wouldnt know but from seeing other quake 3 trick videos these are pretty solid). and compared to nexoge movie, that slow paced, with visual effects in the movie, it didnt care for, and really didnt think they made the movie any special. so back to THIS MOVIE. i liked it. watched 720p because my monitor and there was a bit too much grain. nice cams like them because im a big fan of cams. like the slow to fast cams. really nice depth perception to the movie, kinda like the movie 300.
so all-in-all a solid movie with nice tracks, some good cams, some small visual effects, and good content.
7.5/10
