hey for a first video it wasn't bad. intro got a little boring/repetitive and has been done before. various different effects used throughout the movie with some decent action. multiple air rockets and pummels.. some nice triples and long range as well. i didn't really care for the widescreen look but, it wasn't really necessary to show your name since the entire vid was your pov wasnt it? good try though. music used was enjoyable for me with the content. overall video quality was good but could have been much better with aa turned on. again i'd say not bad for a first video.

first off, very nice for your first video, just a few small things i didnt like.
vid was too dark, it was your vid only right, so i dont think u really needed to have ur name showing during the vid, and the switching of the songs were kinda not very good.
however the content was nice, and the vid kept me entertained the whole way through.

hmmm...
IMO, the single worst thing you can do as an editor is put in shots that have already been seen before... the best shots in this movie were already in GQ2. :/ It brings down the content imo, like you would have got a better vote for content had you not included those.
Secondly, the first song has already been used by another movie. Although your movie is 10 times better than that other movie it still shows no creativity. The others are right with overlaying your name at the bottom when all pov's are you. :D
The start cutting in/out scenes with the music was a nice touch, though it got annoying after a while. (also the "let's see that again" is kinda cheesey)
great quality, and be happy because this was your first movie... for a first it's very good.

(also that 3x air rock kinda looks setup if you ask me, because in GQ2 it showed your score of 174... that's quite a bit for dm17... like i'm not saying the actual shot was setup, but if you shoot around long enough in one location... things happen, know what i mean?)

Zale gj m8 :D very nice for ur first try .. very clean all of it was nice and tidy :P apart from when u cut the music on the second part rather than fade it away or something :) .. content seemed great :P music wasnt my taste... overall nice job m8 :) enjoyed :D:D

hehe zales shots arent set up but he does camp the shotgun area of dm17 for hours just to try to catch big 2x midairs and the occaisional tripple mid. yes, i have ur 1 hour+demos :)
about the video: originality wasnt there, but all in all, it was a lot better then most people's first, and even somes 5th and 6ths :). yes content was used in other videos but this video was made before [and took longer to make] then GQ2. and its not like they were other peoples shots. if you take it for what it was, a bunch of zale's 'cool' shots, then its a good watch.
stuff i liked: content, widescreen, font, use of cams, some syncing w/ effects, use of shine ^_^
stuff i disliked: music, grainy look, 'lets see that again', my name in caps :\

Song was used in FDE (frags done extreme) 2, which kind of made the intro to insane boring to me cause basically FDE2 is my favorite movie of all time in it's entirety and you can't really come close to it hehe :)
Anyway, this video was pretty damn good. The shots and clips were clean and constant, I saw maybe one or two re-used but honestly I say big deal to that - how many of you remember how many times we saw blue's dm6 triple airshot? :p
But yes, good video, bravo. Aside from the intro I enjoyed every bit of it :)

i really enjoyed the vid!
there was only 1 prob, @ 3:21 the (i think it was limp bizkit) track ends really suddenly, no fade out. that's really bad, ruins the flow of the vid!!! :/
also, since the only 1 fraggin was u, the name shouldn't have been displayed, every1 knew it was u :P
intro was yeah, lil too long for a short vid like this but other then that nice!
BEST part was the cfg that u used!!! really good colours and clearity, this is enough to dnl the vid!! there are some really bad quality vids out there, dunno why ppl don't read own-age.com's how-to's, oh well their fault!

This is a long post but for some reason I've got a lot to say. My reply's going to kind of be a combination of some of the other replies. First of all I thought it was a great vid, especially for a first vid.
The frags ranged from good to amazing, and I didn't mind seeing frags that I've seen before if they're good enough (which they were). For me the intro was a bit drawn out since the stuff going on was so obscure there wasn't a whole lot to see in that part.
Music transitions were a bit odd especially the second one, which I think most people agree should've been faded out/in. The transition from the intro to the first song was a bit odd too because the intro song is just building up momentum when it all of a sudden begins to fade, but I understand why you did it because you wanted to include the part that says "are you ready" or whatever. I actually think this part would've worked better if you DIDN'T fade it, and instead cut it off abruptly at the end of the drum roll or measure or whatever appropriate point in the song. This way the intro and the rest of the movie would be neatly compartmentalized and new momentum could begin with the next song.
I didn't mind the "let's see that again" part, because I think little portions set off like that help to break up the repetition of the otherwise endless frag succession, plus it was a good frag so why not do something a little different with it. Although there are always those who think things like this are cheesy, I liked they way you wrote "that was 'insane'" at the end, I thought that was kind of funny/clever.
And like others said, the config and quality were great. In-game sound always makes a video more enjoyable for me, but I understand that it can be a pain in the ass to include. So anyways I'm preparing to submit this review for my dissertation so I hope I've been thorough enough :)

Nice vid. Nice content, clean editing. The problem is the work you did on the musics. Nice sync but the transitions are not good. Thje way the first song is here at the end of the intro you think it will continue but it suddenly stops, and the transition between the second and the last song... ugly. Anyway like TokeD wrote, there is no need to write your name for each frag if everything is from you. Good vid anyway, worth the download, I am glad I had missed this one (but I got it thanks to this thread: http://www.own-age.com/forum/thread.aspx?id=13630&page=1 ).
