Thoroughly enjoyed this movie and enjoy all of your replays on the tastyspleen jump server.
Good music tie-ins and camera angles. |

hi
Im afraid that i wont be able to do it.
This video is recorded at 60fps, owned is streaming only at 30fps and the quality drops very much, it becomes laggy. I have uploaded a sample there to test it so thats how i know. Sorry for the inconvinence but 404mb is not the end of the world :) you can choose a mirror that suits you best and download it. |

I agree with RBK. I started at Q3 so I'm not too familiar with Q2 but the content seems enjoyable ... music I've heard before and I'm not really a fan of the editing.
The first person view is weird to me without showing weap for every run and the 3rd person recams were done sparingly and not very well in my opinion.
Either way good effort and its certainly getting many views so it's nice to see the Q2 community is still alive (or the Q3/QL community is interested in it still at least :p)

| Most episodes were recognizable as jumping thingss, but some were slideshows - i am not sure how do you "slide" in some maps, no strafing, just slide, almost as in Q4 slide.. Also i could not believe that you could initially strafe and gain a long gait as if in quake-world - the gravity is certainly changed here.
Overall what a video, amazed, and the maps are so awesome.
Btw, there is no sound - i have k-lite full codecs pack, mpc and vlc players - no sound still. I mean mpc is common not to process sound, but for vlc this is first time. |

Its nice that you liked it :D
But let me explain few things... In Quake2 wo do have ice, so prolly you are reffering to these parts. It is not the same as in q4. Hard to explain, you would have to try it. Gravity is not changed at all. Every run was recorded from the most prestige q2jump server out there. The gravity is the same as in normal TDM, 1v1, CTF etc.
You shouldve not watch it without sound tho :( theres no effect hehe Ive got k-lite and it works for me fine. Try installing some other codec pack that includes wma.

| The thing I enjoy most about these kind of defrag movies is the wicked map selection. Not doing defrag myself some of these maps just blow my mind and having skilled players navigate through them makes the tour all the more enjoyable. |

Nice work cookie.
There's one problem with q2jump movies in general (and specifically from n00k!e) - movies make the jumps look way too easy compared to the real difficulty.
Still nice job, I'm not complaining about music, only downside is you didn't include my map, because you're too lazy to make a good run on it :) |

Don't be fooled how easy n00k!e makes these jumps look. Q2 Jumpmod requires an intimate knowledge of the Q2 engine. Framerate manipulation is key alongside the skill and timing to pull off some of these jumps.
Make no mistake you're watching a real pro pulling off some clean runs on some of the hardest jump maps. Come to Wireplay jump server, give it a try and check out hundreds of other n00k!e replays.
Now, back to the map workshop to create something more challenging for you n00k. :) |
