the size is really bad for that low quality. could have been 80-100mb lighter. video shows no real originality, some of the shots arent that great and overall its a little boring.

seen this yesterday, some of the frags were freaking awesome like the one they play 4 times on t4, amazing....although that quakecon final wit lexer and cha0 is very nice, it was shown in the qcon2003 movie, so its nothing new plus this time i found it less interesting :/ kid rock was so so and evanesace is over used.
dam nice vid just for the frags...

This vid has Lexer in it, but that's all imo. The frag are not that good, editng is simple (no sync', nearly no filter and no special fx used...), and the songs are overused. I imagine the amount of work put in the frag selection, but it seems that Lexer doesn't have too much highlights/lucky frags. The final part showing the duel with chaO was boring because I had already seen it, there is not much action (a single demo is better than simply puting a long demo into a vid and adding a filter on it).
And yeah the filesize was too high (we are far from the 20mb/s limitation).
Alcohol is the answer, but I can't remember the question!

Nice frags. But the image quality was very bad. Looked like it was exported from Q3 at a very low resolution and resized to 640x420. And in the part where he shows the catchup by LeXeR against chaotics there whould have been both a HUD and a time visible. And the sound should have been encoded into MP3. I got the movie down from 303MiB to 206MiB doing that using MP3 @ 192Kibps.

the evanescence song in the choa match was a very poor decision imo. But other than that, the chao part was well done and the best part of the vid. Amazing play in that match.

my entire downloaded movie was fragmented boxes and junk covering the entire screen. could be codec or my download, but i heard the music while skipping through trying to find some clean video and i just said it definitely wasnt worth the download again.
quake 4 is a ton of fun. |

Saw this first @ esr.
Since it's here I'll give it more of a review. Really, this is one of those movies that felt like it should've came out a few years ago - no matter who the content is from.
I also don't believe the "42 hours of demos" is true, I mean some of lexer's demos were better than this movie in it's entirety... so either the author had very poor taste or just not a great sense of the game?
But yeah, in any case the boring content along with the very annoying soundtrack made me fast forward + close. Also a lot of clips went on for too long, making me expect another frag/shot but then ended out of the blue.

heh agreed. But since I'm a forgiving guy I gave it a watch anyway, I mean if the content was OMGAMAZING I would've just muted it but all the music did was add to the gayness, for me anyway... lot of fanboys "omg'ing" at it of course though, so I'm sure I'll get flamed hard for speaking the truth as usual.

no it doesnt cook. lol i can see great content from the LeXeR demos on cached.net or esreality.com w/e. i dont need it all put in a HUGE .avi with no editing and some overused music.

r u all joking? this movie suck;/ 1500 demos??LIE :) i've seen maybe 30 lexer's demos and i say much better frags, the music, blaah, kid rock=shit, final game with cha0=cool, music in this part=shit ;/ no FX etc. i've expecter muuuuuuch more;/ totaly disappointed

None of the fragged by or music made me not dowload it. I jude more by the frags when it comes to fraggin videos. I believe you can have the shittiest music ever and the video still be good if the frags are awesome. And this video may had dsome shity music but overall LeXer is bad ass and the video showed it. I read forums alot here and it seems most here just judge the damn music and if its synched well. You may be able to download these demos or whatever, but you can do that with any demo, on top of that its hard to please everyone with a soundtrack. Commenting on it never seemed...well, neccesary to me, becasue its my own personal preference. The frags in this vid diffently pleased me. leXer owned with the lg

This is the kind of fragvid that makes you feel good you play Quake 3. IMO :)
While the editing was low and the frags werent the sickest ever, I dunno something about it just made it feel good.
