pretty cool vid.. review before bed :\
the good:
-the tricks
-the cfg
-the quality/size
-few of the effects
-some of the movement looked really nice
-some cool syncing and transitioning
-effect on abis early lickfs2b 1xplas looked interesting
the bad:
-the text left a lot to be desired
-the greets were horrible looking :x
-the vid feels way to quick [which i guess could be a good thing] but if feels like its about to get going and just cuts to greets.
-the cameratransitionspeed seemed to never change and it always arived at the landing or the next step of the trick way before the model did, which gets a little annoying after a while.
-while the vid is decent, it lacks what i feel would be a real element of editing. the vid WAS enjoyable, but for the most part, it was a lot of cammed tricks synced with some nice effects. nothing to dynamic or original, nothing that made me go omg i wish i thought of that. especially at this time when the video making scene is cluttered with tricking vids [probably will break 15 or more this year], you need to deviate from the rest, which this really didnt.
the ugly:
-green nades :x gross
a very enjoyable, short trickjumping video. great content and some nice editing. i recommend the download. i give it a 6.5/10

| pinkk: as usual you're comments agreed with my thoughts. except for the whole editor point of view which i have no right to speak in. but regardless... it is a definite improvement over the SoD series and you can definetly tell ab1s is moving forward in his editing. great job ab1s and I look forward to your next videos :D |

From OPC.. Putting that Britney song in kinda ruined the feel of the video. I loved freeform, so when i heard the music kick in on this i was happy.. then britney jumped on and it was like i had the radio on and vid muted.. it just didnt seem to go. I don't know if the cam angles were too bad.. but to me some of the transitions seemed a teeny tiny bit sloppy? Like a slight pause before the next change? Prolly just me. Over all tho a nice vid. Neat tricks, good quality and fun to watch. Well done.

out standing tricks.... i lvoe the plasma stuff you did ab1s <3 editing was very good i loved it this is one of my fav trick jumping videos. ( the toxic song :D <3 )

well that depends. there are pros and there are cons.
some of the positives are that it forces people to be creative and push the limits of what you can do with trickjumping and video editing.
some of the negatives would include that all these people feel pressured to live up to expectations of other peoples videos. dont take this as comparing videos, but i really liked freeform and i know many people do and im sure lots hold it up highly. now people expect that from all editors. im sure if this video was isolated and came out early-mid last year, it would have totally blown people away. things are pushed so far and expectations are just so high, that both tricks and editing have to be top notch in order for it to be a decent video and well accepted.
i do enjoy trickjumping, both watching and occaisionally tricking myself and aparently im also a video editor so i see both sides of the spectrum. while its great to see all these great tricks, people probably wouldnt even be doing them if it wasnt for so many good videos comming out displaying such skill. and when its grouped together, all the better, it will push people to bang out some awesome tricks. but when the videos are made, video after video starts to blend together and eventually they all become really similar, like the tons of vids that look like ctm1. not saying theyre good or bad, but its just a lot harder to bring the 'wow' factor then it was a long time ago.

+great tricks
+great config
-the few seconds spent showing the player before going into a portal make the film drag a little.
-credits text effect was hard to read
-some cams were too far away and I lost track of where the player was.(ie: gray player on gray wall)
Overall a good short trick movie.

well finally watched it. great video. i wish it was longer. the tricks were great and the quality was fantastic. i thought some of the camera work was really good. song used from intro and majority of video worked very well for the tricks. ab1s eats, sleeps and breathes q3tricking ;) <3
only complaint i really have is the text greets at the end.. difficult to read.

| hmmm somehow I couldnt enjoy any part of this video. Most tricks were new but I noticted some old old old ones too. Some of effects fitted the video well but what was that one dark map with lil bit of red effect? ctf4? I totally missed that trick anyway this video goes to recycle bin right now, sorry. |

I love watching ab1s progress in skill... those long range plasma/rocks were sick. They pwn all other tricks. I thought the movie was perfect in length, I wasn't in the mood to watch a half hour epic, just something short/sweet. Very, very nice work realm & ab1s! Super long range tricks are so impressive.
If I had to absolutely pick something that I didn't like about this movie, perhaps there was too much slow-motion used... but I thought it suited it regardless.

vid had a opposite look from wide screen, maybe because of the high cg_FOV setting. i like the opposite my self. Vid had a slow feel and lacked intensity.
1st part / song was ok, synced pretty good. last song was horrible :/
i personly love crazy colors and the compression was pretty good.
as a very noob tricker these looks like some very hard and orginal tricks :)

What amazes me most is you did this in 2 days :o
Your tricking getted my atention when i saw your time on hitm4n2, i tought.. hey one trick i can do.. yeah right ;p 1.3 my best lol but 1 grenade :((( i see the movies, see the runs and try to copy them :) ok, these tricks made me go whoa :O my fav on this was the plasmas you shoted and then back back thetre you long-plasma-climb :D
I think you chose well the music and the partner :) You effected correctly but if i changed i also changed the letters position, put it off screen since you don't do a standard witdhxheight
I like those large maps.. how do you find such maps? :p the imagination of tricking was cool too, but also agree, intro and outro should have been more worked :) to simple for the rest!

well, gargoyles' music, as used in the shaolin productions in 2003 video... it was horribly faded out and that = a BIG minus in my eyes.
