@Pseudologue: what does +/- means? Is it good or bad? Does it just mean average? Can you explain a little more please? |
I'm guessing it means its average, seeing as how a positive and a negative combined cancel each other out.

Nice movie, i liked it, some frags are insane, and the editing is nice (it's not a shaolin prodution!) Maybe, uni could have been more cautious with the "maxpackets 100 allowed, adjusting..." we see in a lot of sequences :P
Nice movie, Download it ! |

Well, i think footage was nice, but editing sucked a little bit, also i would change the config. Use cl_noprint 1 and cg_drawstatus 0, but leave the onscreen fragmessages where they have to be :)
Overall, pure fragmovie, with some really nice frags but no editing ( effects and so on) some synced parts thats all.

Nice vid, some nice editing at some parts, good frags (most of them) , config was too bright at some parts.

In that case you wouldn't be the only one... Some orginal stuffs on editing, no noticeable effect but a great work on cams sometimes (I prefer that option). Some nice frags, but most of them are not that nice (they are but not enough imo). Read my review for more details.

This guy brags about the frags in this movie as if he executed them himself, but of course he didn't. Of course if you sift through a bunch of pros' demos you'll find a bunch of insane frags and then you can put them together with a shitty config and minimal editing and act like you just created the best quake movie ever. The implication is that if your movie doesn't contain pro footage, and maybe perhaps the maker himself is capable of executing some frags, then the movie is useless.
Other than this guys shitty attitude, the movie's got a lot of great frags and is definitely worth seeing. I liked the way he listed the fraggers and the fragged at the end, although frag messages during the movie would have helped too.

That's what I thought. I usually don't pay attention to avatars because I use Firefox and most of them don't display, but when I am replying like right now they all display correctly, so I vote for Cheney and Oblivion.

well the video has a lot of old frags, but they're still great to watch, good music sync in such.
just lack of identifying the people who were fragging was kinda annoying.
and sometimes the video config was different in some scenes, that was kinda annoying.
it was still fun to watch tho gj :o

That is absolutely wrong. Top players, what you call "pros" are so close in skill that they have to secure the frag if they want to do something. Very very rarely you will see air rockets from "pros". Plus they are all very skillful. That's why a not so impressive air rocket or rail from a "pro" is MUCH more worthy that any of the frags that can be made in a public server, friendly match, and in most cases the opponent is a newbie. Plus these kind of frags are harder to spot, you have to see really a lot of demos to get a few, something that wouldnt happen if they were made by yourself (you still have to watch demos, but you know more or less where the good frags are), or material sent by someone (in most cases they have to specify the moment of the frag) |
