About that config: It was hard for me to judge if there was any difference. Actually i don't even wanna believe there is a difference. Example: you mentioned the mp5 is shooting faster, and ak reloads faster (if i remember right). Imo, best way to show that would have been a splitscreen with your cfg and a regular cfg.
Furthermore: OK movie with a couple of good frags. Personally i don't fancy custom sounds and weaponskins, but that will differ from person to person. Enjoy making #4 :)

It's impossible to make your gun reload or shoot faster. Your config did nothing other then make the gay glitch where you gun is in the center of your screen happen all the time, the rest was just a skin/sound pack. The fast reloading and shooting was just a placebo.
The movie in and of its self sucked, a new CFG isn't a good enough reason to make a movie, and making the whole movie with a gay skin/sound pack and some stupid glitch is gay. There wasn't a single good shot in that movie, and the titles were way to long and retarded....
basically it's a huge waste of time : no content whatsoever |

hehe first lol @ the jap. music :)
kinda liked it, made me a happy person for a few moments ;)
+ quality was not very good but watchable
+ saw a few nice kills (snipers etc.)
+ japanes song :D
+_ ingame sound is good but the modification i didn't like it much
- cfg thing i didn't like

All shut your big mouth about this movie! its not the best but its good the thing was to show his CFG and yes he did! you play the style like your cfg is configed to so when you are betetr with low quality than i should let it low if you want a movie about your cfg and when you can make it fast reload and powerfull things i would show it too just like forezor! now the fucker who moaning about impossible... you stupid arse are you dumb or is it just looks like you are? cant you see its possible go find a sound pack or skin pack that looks like this and relaoding like this GO FIND IT AND GIVE THE URL TO TEST IT or else stfu and go to hell!!!!

actually dumbass it is impossible to actually make your gun reload faster, shoot faster, or have less recoil (aside from hacking)
the only thing that "config" does (which is really just a skin pack) is provide a placebo effect making you think that it reloads faster. I remember I downloaded a sound pack for my AK and I swear to god it had less recoil...but it really didn't, It was all in my head. Anybody can put in a new animation, sound, or skin, but that doesn't actually MAKE it reload or shoot faster
Even if you did manage to find some uber top secret command that makes your gun reload faster, I'll still rape your face if I ever play you so I dont give a shit |

somebody post his config. There is a way through dos prompt to compare the differences between 2 files and list them. We could just run it through and see what cvars he changed.
Maybe he had a .pk3 that accelerated the reload animation. When you play on servers with more ammo than what there is in a standard clip (vanilla), the reload animation gets outta sync. you hit the reload, and about half a second later, it will start to reload. If you watch your ammo clip counter, you'll see it will be updated with full ammo before the animation finishes. It is in turn the same standard time to reload. Maybe his "config" (although it would have to be .pk3's) screws with it, since when you play demos, it loads all .pk3's as if it is a non-pure server.
I had a .pk3 where the shotgun shot 100 pellets, and it would show up in the demo, even if the server was standard 8 pellet shot. Of course, it would look weird as a person would withstand 10 pounds of buckshot flying at them. I"ll download the movie and take a looksie. |

Oh, also, I believe the reload feature is server side. Next time you play on a server, unplug your internet before you reload, then hit your reload button. Wait a few seconds, then plug your internet back in. Your clip will still be in the state it was beforehand.

Ok, just watched it.
Well, first of all, I know you can't get all those fucked up animations without playing with the weapon files themselves. Specifically the bones file I believe.
Secondly, that's all in your head. All those screwy animations and sounds just play with you. Post your config ONLY (sof2mp.cfg) and we'll see. Also the fact that you are playing on a modded weapon server doesn't help at all. |

upon further investigation, yes, it is possible to change the rate of fire of your weapon with your config.
It involves settings with the pmove command, which I believe is now blocked by default by PB.
Although, from what I could gather, you could decrease the rate of fire (this happened when you exploited pmove for the faster leaning), but you could not increase the rate of fire because the pmove settings were already as low as they were permitted to go (unless you use some external program, or hex editing to change that allowance in the game).
First, I just brought down the console and type map mp_whatever. Once I got in, I found an m4 (I tried with the sig, and the m4 has better results). Set your pmove_msec to 33 (the max), and the pmove_fixed to like 9999. Spray your entire clip into the wall, noting how fast the numbers drop on your clip counter.
reload and switch the pmove_msec to 8 (the minimum, and the default). Spray your clip again. It'll definately go faster than before, but not any faster than default. Also, test the speed on leaning while your doing this. High pmove_msec = fast lean, but slow ROF. Weird trade off. But from what I hear, this is being blocked by PB, so it shouldn't really matter than this info is out.

| Yes pmove can be exploited for faster leaning and a faster rate of fire on your first bullets. It has been quite a topic of conversation amongst the Australian SoF2 Community. Generally the pmove fixed and msec values are punkbuster protected but it depends entirely on server settings. Although you gain lean/shooting speed, recoil is increased, but it is generally considered to be a dirty tactic to exploit pmove. You are at a disadvantage not using it and it will eventually improve your game if you can/do use it. |
