+ effects (especially the keying stuff)
+ synchronisation

+/- music - intro song/ RATM/outro song rulez, sabotage - average
+/- runs - although they are very good and skillful i disliked them, i prefere freestyle tricks in videos than runs :)
- maybe a little too big :P
summary: great job hakan ;) one of the best videos on own-age.com (for sure in Poland:P)
ps: dont you go think this review is subjective and full of superlatives because i know hakan or smth :) the movie is just great and i was surprised that 9:26 has already passed :) the only thing i'd change is the big ammount of runs :( i'd prefer see fragging instead :)

nice movie.. i really liked the editing.. but some of the frags were not the best but i did see a few nice ones. Runs were nice bout i rather frags :) great work!

was ok i guess.. motion blur/colors became a bit too much.. nothing too special/creative.. tho dm6 thing was nice.. some frags were kinda meh.. colors clashed a bit, as did tricking/fragging in same vid.

One complaint I have is that the intro text was impossible to read, it just went by too fast.
Otherwise what the others said. The tricks felt disjointed from the fragging and vice versa. Some nice effects, some nice frags, but would have liked it more without the defrag runs.

Some very nice frags, especially at the end, but most of them were not very nice. I didn't really feel the fast pace of cpm. Mixing runs and frags can be good, but here they ae too mixed together, and switching from one to the other so often really breaks the flow. Really too much effects (already whatI disliked in Project no 1...), the vid is too bright (and the text at the begining is hard to read) and there is too much blur. Some nice stuffs with chroma, but the effect on q3dm6-dm6++-q3dm6 was stolen from Junkie's movie (The second generation). So there is effort put into editing, but you wanted to impress too much, and the result is the opposite. About the songs it was ok, except sabotage, was good but too famous imo (at least I already knew it and I don't like when I hear a song I alreay know in a movie).
The movie is too big too (233megs for 9min36...).
To sum up: not bad vid, but calm down on the effects, and separate frags and defrag runs.
Alcohol is the answer, but I can't remember the question!

? i have the 2nd generation on my hdd, i'd like to know where is the "map transistion" effect :O if u meant the camera transistions you should say it in 50% of movies because it is used so much...

I don't have it on my hdd because it burnt last week, but I remember it was the first vid to show a frag, then move around the map to show an other (that was not the same action). You are right there is no map transition, but it is very similar to me (and about map transition you have one in an aAa movie, it changes the map, but it changes the game too, from ut to q3 I think).
Of course there are camera transitions in many movies now, but to show the same action, not to show different frags (picked from different demos :p).
Alcohol is the answer, but I can't remember the question!

well... i like it :D
The color/image correction is good, nice quality. The dm6 morphing is a good idea. Not really new but it was nicely done, not like in other vids. It would be better if the camera never stop, this give a more dynamic sequence. But i know how difficult it is to set up the cameras. The frags are common for most of them, but the editing and the camera movements make them better.
Only bad point for me, the music doesn't fit the video. Ratm + tricks = uh!? I think tricks would be better in a separate vid, but maybe the polish community prefer to have both of them in the same vid.

I have 2 or 3 ideias that were showned on some movies but in a small way.. i mean i had think on them and suddendly i see them on a movie :/ of course if it's the same principle i will not make like fei did something on the competition movie that i had thinked of and now i wont do it.. but some things that people do that i know my ideia is in a bigger concept i will still do because i think of it first.. don't really care if people say i copy it.. all the ideias that weren't originaly mine i will write in the pdf :P
But i still say that is unfair because i had thinked on something alike with a camera transitioning between actions but is not quite this thing.. i will try it because i imagine it before the second generation.. and it's not the same ideia.. but it's the same camera trick :/

Does anyone have a mirror other than filefront? I have tried to dl the movie quite a number of times now and for some reason it messes up midway.
I loved the first one in the series and I am sure that this one rocks as well. |
