This was the worst q3 movie i have ever seen.
The part at the end where it said "free your mind" should have probably been put in the beginning, that way i wouldnt have to expect anything mind-blowing....well in a way the vid was mind-blowing cuz it was jus so horrible.
The entire thing is choppy (fraps read 30FPS looked like 15FPS)
Config was not pretty, the graphics looked more like quake 2 =\
No hud elements were removed.
some frags were ok, but nothing SPECTACULAR, none of it stood out for me.
there was hardly even a transition when going from one frag to another.
editing was waaaay under than what we'd explect today, some color changes and flashes and not much else.
Please read over some of the stuff on the site and watch annihilation (im guessing you already did since "chateau" was used as the main song)
the soundtrack was the only thing i liked about this movie, the rest was just really bad.

Synching you did @ around 2:15 was pretty cool
+/- Heard the music all before.. can't remember which movie it was but it was from something big and
it made this small vid feel like a cheap rip-off or something.. i duno, just my opinion.
- The Quake config - it looked pretty shabby
video/compression was real choppy
I noticed a "page turn" transition in there somewhere ^^
Frags were relatively average, nothing stood out for me

It's a first try, if i compare this to all the first tries, it's not bad at all..
Bad things were the music yeah.. or not? I mean for someone that sees a lot of q3 movies it gets a bit 'old' hearing this tune which is very nice from the matrix...
Ok about config: several configs with totally diferent setings and to many info hud.. try to reduce that
About frags.. i love when people say that frags are regular and i see frags alike in their own movies :P i liked the sync with the frags and the frags were good to watch because you also move fast the mouse and i didn't see you camp :D
Tips: You got a good trick on sync, also try to clean the screen and put more complex effects and work on compression and media extraction.. see own-age.com forums for that ;)

i wasn't really bashing, i have nothing against this guy, i just feel that for a first vid he could have done much more research, and made a much beter film.
but i realize that the maker didn't post the movie, so im guessing is something toked found, so my guess is that its pretty old.
It wasnt THE WORST MOVIE EVER MADE, it was just the worst q3 one :P comapred to some cs movies out there this was pretty decent.

this video isnt THAT bad
i liked the fast sync
otherwise all effects were seen many times before
and the frags arent really 'highlights'

hi all....yes well it was my first try. I dunno anythin abt movie makin & stuff tough i will b into it frm now on coz its fun :D (tough i prefer playin more than makin vids) this movie ws made usin the windows movie maker & Fraps on an ancient P3 & the purpose ws to entertain my friends .
hopefully my second vid will b a whole lot better coz my clanmates have adobe premier & other movie making skills & it will b a clan vid .
sorry to those who didnt like the vid ... thanx to those who think it ws a fine try :D
P.S : Tania... i doubt u remember me as the laggy guy on the supanet servers with the z4muz smiley |) |

Very impressive fast gameplay.. even if the Frags arent outstanding but they show his skills.
Config and Stuff isnt all guys.. ;)
I've seen many movies and this is definitely NOT the worst :P

Nice q3 vid. Ofcourse there are movies out there with better quality, content and fx but this movie isnt competing with them. I have dl'd and deleted a whole lot worse movies from this site. This is most definitely not one of that kind. I really like the sync ... well done on that part. Its short, simple and fun to watch.
Seeing this is your first attempt I would rate it 7 out of 10. Hopefully we will see more stuff from you. :) |

Hi e8Dy ! nice work ma man. This was good. Cant u guys see that there are many better movies BUT its his first try and also he is the only player i've seen who can play good even on "200" ping ...

This whole movie was created, edited in front of my own eyes. The reason for the choppiness of the movie is b'coz he was making it on a 500Mhz PIII machine, which wasn't able to handle the compression level. Secondly, this guy prefers to play quake rather than making colorful movies. If u don't know what i'm talking about, come on in to play, and believe me, he will kick ur arses for good even at 200 ping =}...
If u don't believe me, ask Tania then ;)....
