phew, what to say?
first the codec: i dont believe that nero vision will be the coming standard i installed this program and deselected all options for nero to play my media files result: doubleclick on any video/mp3 starts nero vision >:| the quality is awesome, but it was awesome too @ it2 / freeform / ... u cant play the file with any other player than nero - but i dont like this player, so this is definitely NOT the future :> btw. what about linuxusers? i installed it, i watched the movie, now im going to deinstall the program again
the tricks: just '!!' 10 points
the music: argh =/ techno sounds like in the 90s ? danii minogue? secondly the audio wasn syncro with the video at all cause the videostream was played too slow (my fault, the players fault or gods fault, dunno) @ xp1900+ imho this wasnt a good choice
recams / editing: very good job, but nothin new or spectacular 4-5 cams were not perfect
finally: a really great movie, awesome action, fine editing, ugly music :> and perfect quali the codec will prevent me from seeing it again on my pc im trying the next days to convert it to xvid (plz tell me how to do that?), although that surely will not improve the videoquality
9/10

Haven't seen the vid yet(not at my place for a couple more days) but what I'm excited about is someone using Nero Record already, and confidently. You underlined all the benefits so I hope people realize it's worth it after reading your 'FAQ' in the post :P Will check it out when I return home, but I'm sure it's great(and looks great too) :P I hope to see some more AVC/h.264 encoded movies, I've decided I will be using it for my next project also.. 13-14mb/min at 800x600 with beautiful quality? Hell yes :) |

Really absolute awesome quality, awesome aswesome awesome ;)
The tricks were very nice mainly, but u killed the whole movie with this stupid music. Absolutely no syncing, even on obvious parts, where I thought, NOW will be some syncing - but nothing came.
Very boring movie, can't stand 15 minutes, even though the content and quality is ... awesome :>
Edit: bunny-burning, quality 9??? this cant possibly be better :|

theres are some way to make the quality "better", watch it2 then you will see, quality = the whole image looking (imo). in this movie the pictures are more or less the standard q3 output pics, no color correction or glow and stuff... in it 3 there are some really big pictures adjustments which makes for me the "quality" better.
@spawnzen: hehe, when installing the app, there you had to choice which formats you want to open with this application, just deselect all when installing, and the result will be that you still got the old format-appz-links ;) (ps: dont just click "weiter" so fast xD)

there is just brightness/contrast adjustion bb, I dont do anything else most of the time ( such as lensflares, glow, saturation etc ) because I dont like that alot. In iT2 jrb used loads of lenseflares in a good way, something I can't and rather not even try because that would fuck it all up ;)

Spawnsen, I can still select any of the media players by right clicking the file. So you don't need to watch any of the other movies with the nero player, just select your fav one in the list.

I must say WOW! These Vid pulls me from the chair! :D I think editing is not important for this Movie. The content pushed it to the top 3 of the best quake trickjumping vids i'e ever seen. Absolutly amazing and creative stuff from your team! I give content a big fat 10 with 3 * :) and quality is top, too! It must so hard to time such tricks like on 4:30 or 6:20 absolutly insane!
To the choice of music i thinks it's not bad except danii :P but for me you use too much slomos, me gets crazy when i hear fast music and slomo action on a 10 min timespan. But who cares definatly on my favourites. And everyone who like trickin shoulkd be download this or die! :P
Someone should be mentioned it on the Newspage! otis??? :D

Never had that before, or heard anyone else about it. Quite strange and I know nothing to do about it :(

wow, guys thanks. we really appreciate all the comments. we never thought it would be liked this much, tbh we kind of thought are tricks lacked a bit. we just recent after this vid was done taking in demos, have been getting some stuff we think is better. so hopefully you will like Eh2 when ever we decied to do it. I am pretty sure i can say this on behalf of the team. We didnt think we would get this feedback and it really a shock and makes those long hours into the night and morning and even months (DM12 run) all worth it. to our face. also clue did a great job of making the video. and i want to express my thanks to you clue, because i know how edditing is time consuming.
thanks all for the comments!

the movie was very boring for me :( i think its because of the music which was shitty :/ the quality - hmm it is good but i think the codec doesnt influenced on that. if the movie had lower resolution and it had more detail the quality wouldnt be so awesome :) i`ve tested it on my computer and the quality didnt differ much from the xvid clip :)
 Past projects:
Fragtime (150 MB) /download/
The pa1nful movie (382 MB) /download/
Present project:
Fragtime 2

Of course the codec has influence on the quality, but in my opinion this is not the best example of it's compression capabilities at all. 22.5mb is really pushing it now - overkill..but I'm sure it looks damn near lossless(wont see it for another 4hrs). To give you an idea, I think jrb had iT2 down to 310mb or thereabouts with this codec. I can only assume it still looked great. I know I can pull off 12/13mb per min on an 800x600 CS vid. I know I know, CS..but that's still kind of a big deal :)
And vb-, I think fei meant an open source binary of this codec :P Nero's got this one in the bag so far because they currently have the best encoder. I'll be in heaven when better ones come out that I can use in Vdub and open with the player of my choice :)
**Excuse my error. I was counting the Nero Pack included as part of the video file's size when I calculated the mb/min..Anyways, I watched the vid and it looks excellent..Couldn't find a single flaw..The synching didn't seem too apparent to me, every minute or so there might be an effect that looked like effort was put in to synch it to the music, but didn't notice anything else :S Quality and content, great, editing was alright but synching was almost non-existant to me, and I doubt my comp was playing it out of synch. Would rate it an 8 overall. Would have been much more engaging with some nice synch/maybe better music choices..Still a very good vid though
