but make the final have better compresion

| nice trailer, but umm shitty compression man heh, 40mb/minute :(, make sure to use twopass and follow some xvid guides, and hope u use more original music in the final movie. |

Things to improve on:
- Quality and Size( no need for 800x600)
- Boring White background and font
- Music Sync
Things Good:
-Frags(some unique ones)
- Dumpframes
Inbetween:
- You might want to work on tweaking your config(the size of game font, etc)
Im looking forward to the final, def. could be good :)

thanks for useable feedback which is hard to get nowadays :P
about the compresion, yeah, it stinks big time.
i did a 3000 kb/s single pass = 100 mb, then i did a double pass and got 100 mb too, but forgot it had changed bitrate to 4000 kb/s :|
that is for sure gonna be changed in the full one.
im gonna try some 640x480 shots and some 800x600 shots and compare them quality vs file size just to find the optimal one.

about the tweaking my config, i have tweaked it alot to remove some shit and make it more clean, but are gonna make a new one to the full movie, but i have NO IDEA of how to make game front other size's, or depends on what fronts if its the "you killed xx" i know how to, but now the other ones, which i could remove the clock in the hud + some hud when using 3rd person view / static cam :/
im also gonna test both white vs black borders to see what is the better one (have gotten alot of negative feedback on my white ones)
as a notice to you all: this was my first movie, and it kinda used it as an experiment before the full one, to test things, learn ulead, learn dumpframes, learn to make config's and to see if my style of editing was liked or diskliked, mostly to help make a even better full movie.

Pretty nice all up, especially compared to most UT vids getting aorund. That triple mid shock rifle combo was very nice also. Good luck with the final.

You should be able to get rid of all the hud(yes,even the timer) by hitting the '-' key(minus). As for font, I find it sorta dristracting and ugly in the video. So I suggest make it smaller. Its in your options from the main screen. Under HUD i believe. And If you're gonna do the border thing, i suggest to do something never done before( no white or black, thats just unoriginal and you can do better).

thats right, ill try to take a look at it (hud is at 75%), maybe ill make it 50% gonna test it out, about white and black borders, yes its unoriginal, i know that. and ofc ill try to make something new.. but its hard, but if i get a good idea i will ofc use it :)

game look really good quality wise (always seems to be a problem in ut vids, but here is good). please more editing (syncage, recams). The 2 picutres at the same time was hard to follow. maybe if 1 was fullscreen and the other was like picture in picutre in a corner.

Like Trev said: that's because it's 44 mb per minute so if his final movie will be say like 10 minutes the size will be 440 mb! :o
Jup tripleshock was cool and some other frags as well, but as everybody else said things should be given second thoughts to so you take care of that and we will expect a nice 2k4 movie aight?

as almost EVERYONE has written is the quality / mb pr minuted thing.
and i know 44 mb pr minute is a lot, but i dont think 100 mb it alot, ofc the full one is gonna be smaller mb/pr minute wise, so dont worry about a 1 gig movie or something :)

terrible compression.
no frags made me go "wow" or even "nice". they were all mediocre. i expect to see a lot better ones considering youre making this movie with a whole team, not just an individual.
noticed very little syncing.

it will be with something near 27 mb / min, (made a rerender on the trailer with the same bitrate and got 27 mb /min, just compressed the music this time, doh)
