Virtuosity is a Quake 3 frag movie that has been under development for more or less 6 months, since the release the Virtuosity teaser.
This frag movie is not about a player or a clan, its thanks to the Quake 3 community and the players who has been sending in demos this movie has become a reality. Sorry to everyone that had sent in demos but couldn't be in the movie :(

The best movie on this site to date, in my opinion.
This is the only film on this site that i have seen that i have not got bored while watching and definatley the only one that i think is too short.

I really like the quality on this vid. The compression is a bit high @ around 28mb a minute but it's worth the higher filesize due to it's extreamly good picture.
The audio/video editing really made me like it as well. The only real downside is that many frags are basic and everyday. Though there are a nice amout of good frags, many are just ordinary.
Still a great great video, it's gonna stay on my HD.

the only thing i disliked: the music :/
great editing, syncing, recams are good tho

Pretty nice movie. Good quality, synchronization, and overall editing. some real nice camerawork. Some of the frags were really nice, but there was a lot of filler too. On the downside I didn't really like the music (cheesy techno) although it provided some good opportunities for synchronization. Since I didn't really like the music, I thought the segment in the middle when the cheesy lyrics were printed across the screen was especially cheesy. Nice to see good frags by good players in a high quality vid though.

i really enyoed the trailer and now i enyoed the movie
everything is more than just "good"
the frags, editing/effects, quality
the only thing i cant stand is this totally awful music
could be something cheap by Masta Blasta or something shamefull like this :D

Im sure u spend alot of work making this movie but the fact is i got bored after the intro ;)
Nice but not that enjoyable...
I love the intro and i have watched it over 10 times or something though :)

Kick-ass introduction ; i really loved it. Rest of the movie was good too, good sync', (some) nice frags, nice recams, great cfg... It's a matter of taste but music sucked big time for me, i def didn't like it. But overall, good job.

a great movie! no deal about that...some neat effects, great use of different speeds...there were some negativ points though:
the style of music (u tried...), cams, credits (from font, to structure....u even copyed the (c) line ;) ) and even the eye catcher right in the midle of the movie...i think I saw that before in another movie *caugh*iT2*caugh* (u could have atleast greet jrb in the credits...)
need to admit that the music in this one sux big time...like the other guys posted here already it sounds like u tried too hard...its new songs with old melodies or something...did not grab me!
anyway nice movie...

Excellent vid.. nicely synced and well done. Just like it was mentioned above.. not my music taste and having no-ingame sound is really a standard to me. Aside from that its a keeper :)

I liked this movie a lot. Where it fails though is when it comes to delivering the frags. The visuals mixed with the sound were awesome but the frags got lost along the way it seems, In a good movie, the visuals/music compliment the actual content (frags/jumps/story) and in this movie it was the other way round, frags were in the background, visuals/music dominated.
if you paid more attention to the frags, some proper slow motions or recams and frag messages/sound cues, this movie would be #1 :) |

nice video... lot of work spent on cams, very nice work.. Some parts did feel as though I was watching iT2 as far as the visual effects and such, but it worked out pretty good for the music. pretty good config minus the no frag message.. was hard to make out if some shots killed or not.
all and all, people should at least view once if not keep in their libraries, frags were good, quality was good, editing was good.

Love this movie, where's the front page post it deserves!? :P
I'm lucky to have previewed this to attempt to give some constructive crit, which I found hard because
the vid has looked awesome every step of the way, and I can see from the final that things have only

Really great vid.
I dont think the music was bad, but it would better suit a trickjump vid, the movie really felt like Last Dinosaur 2, with similar ae effects and such, synch was right on the whole time, quality was great given that u went over 20 mb/min but u had ur own mirror so its all good ;)
Definitel a vid that i will watch and rewatch.
