The movie is really good , i dont play quake3 a lot , but when i see this movie i really wanted to play!

Summary:
The best movie on this site to date, in my opinion.
This is the only film on this site that i have seen that i have not got bored while watching and definatley the only one that i think is too short.
Creativity: 9
Just seemed different than most of the other Q3 vids.
The camming was very nice, the music was different than usual which appreciated.
One point that I likd is that it uses different game levels, i'm sick of seeing the same freekin level in every Q3 movie!! so thanks for the alternatives.
Editing: 9
Really well edited, clean and smooth.
Some effects but not over the top, in most cases they were pretty subtle which is all the better IMO.
Syncing was really good, sometimes just a little off... who cares? Some was very cleaver, i loved the part when the beat was matched with the big blue thing firing gun - 4:24

I guess i rate this higher than other because i'm not a quake player.
I thought the frags were great, quake players can say what they want, but if you want the view of an 'outsider' then they were impressive.
The music was cool :)

the quality is outstanding, both visual and audio.
very enjoyable because of this.
some videos deserve to be slighty high files size - this is one.
Overall: 9
certainly a keeper.
as i said, this is the best video i have seen on this site.

a top q3 fragmovie

awesome soundtrack (although i wasnt fond of the "playing the game" track at first) that pumped throughout the movie. non-stop action kept the pace and excitement high. great intro and tons of great and original (to me atleast) effects such as the synced shine to the bass thump.
Editing: 10
awesome editing and syncing. camera movement and frags went perfect with the thump of the music. lots of cool effects too.

not the best q3 frags iv ever seen, but a lot were stellar. none took away from the movie.

this is a definate keeper. the awesome editing and soundtrack wont make this one get old quick. easily a top q3 fragmovie in my book.

the frags were nice .. there is abit more insane fragging possible (especially with that much good guys but still reached the 9 for me. i dont like fraging after all .. that includes frag vidoes but your one ROCKS nice performance

maybe some moan about crispy and 30 mb .. well i catched my self not looking one time at the file size .. that means i watched the movie and dont care ... if it had been 500 maybe i would say ewww but even than the content makes every file size worthy there. i dont look for errors yet but the fact that i cant remember seeing one at the first time i watched the movie is good enough for me to say - perfect.

i will keep this video (like i keep neraly all up to 800 GB only quake movies ... cough)
well it is a master piece of work. may some people find some things to moan at .. maybe codec knowledge would bring some better quality or maybe 3200x2400 200 fps picture output in quake would bring some more asskicking quality but somewhere has to be a limit for -> delaying your work to get public. for me its well choosen quality and content is constant good flow there is not just big fireworks at start then getting boring its constantly great. the music as well the people who know tricking it 2 maybe remember that kind of mixing style its hard to find that kind of music well mixed if not able to mix it yourself. respect well choosen and great music quality as well
FUCK .. what a god damn great movie ... put your ass into holiday and when you are back start the next one ! :)

video was very well done, well worth the download and a favorite for me.

the cams were creative, i liked the constant movement, you dont see that much. the "badge" effects i guess wasnt new but i liked the part with the still screenies, that was cool.
Editing: 9
9 on this, very well done. lots of good cams and synch. very good coloring and style. didnt like the "main title" screen. didnt really look near as good as the rest of the movie. i liked the text at the begging, very cool. i thought the still screenie part with the lyrics was a bit drawn out though.

i liked the video alot, could have been way better with good content. the content definately held this video back. good clean editing that was fun to watch. nice soundtrack too

Many creativity in the movie, with the way effects are used (even if some have already been used before, there were many new stuffs). The use of techno song is original too.
Editing: 9
No eye bleeding effect (I prefer that way), and a big work on recams, multi screens, etc. Nearly every frag has a special editing. Not a single frag has been just dropped on the timeline. Even if some kind of recams have already been used before, he used so many that it doesn't really bother. Very nice sync too. Everything works, maybe except the pace of the music (at first I thought it didn't fit, but in the end techno worked quite well) and the movie don't always go together fine, because there are a lot of slow motion, too much for that kind of music, and I don't really liked the way you played with the velocity enveloppe, the way you changed the speed so suddenly (especially with some fast forward).
Apart from that very nice work!

The real weak point imo. A very few frags were very nice, but most of the others were filler, like single rail shots, single rockets / easy airshots, or at least not very impressive frags (I do some of the rail shots daily).
Anyway it probably come sfrom the fact that you used only pros shots, but 42 pros should be enough to fill a 10minutes movie with good content (look at movies like Just Quake).
The game config was very good btw.

Quality was nice, but the filesize was very lage too.
Overall: 7
A very good movie on the editing side, but content is not that good, that explains why it isn't a favorite, but remains a keeper.

its hard to say.. while this video showed A LOT of creativity and featured many new effects and did some really cool text stuff, at MANY of the points i felt like some of the effects were taken RIGHT out of iT2 and especially Last Dinosaur 2. not that some of those effects havent been done before those videos, but those were the videos that really made the best of them. not to say that this video doesnt do a really great job with those effects, but point being, they have been done before and at this point its kinda played out. even the credits felt a little similar to iT2's in some ways.
i did like a lot of the visuals though, for instance the text/linework stuff in the intro was really smooth and was pulled off well, some of the camwork seemed fairly new, that one effect towards the middle of the vid with all the text was pulled off really well. that says alot because the lyrics dont mean anything [to the video] and i usually REALLY dislike that kind of stuff, but it was made very interesting to watch in this vid.
the name of the video kinda bothers me, considering its a denzel washington movie ive seen on tv like a bajillion times. doesnt put me off on the vid itself but does kinda bother me.
i would have given the video an 8 in the creativity department if it hadnt been for a good portion of the effects looking similar/almost identical to those of vids like iT2/last dinosaur2. reguardless, much creativity was shown so ill leave it somewhere between 6 and 7.

this video was edited really well, i must say. ive done some of those effects in the past, such as the blinking map pieces [ala badge 2], and it really takes along time. as does the map effect where things apear one at a time [ala annihilation (chateau)]. while they arent super original at this point, they are really hard to pull off and make work and liquide did a REALLY good job of that. they look great and are synced up almost perfectly. the video itself flows really nicely, with a great soundtrack [i was saving that Psytisfaction rmx for a really really long time :( now i can throw it away]. audio was put together pretty well , though it was nothing spectacular like any crazy remixing. i liked many of the cams, im big on getting 'close' to the action and this vid provided that with many many close up shots of models/maps/rockets/etc.
there are some things i didnt like though. among those include no ingame sound [which i suppose is a matter of preference], everything seems abit stretched out <-> which is kinda weird to watch, i felt there was WAY to much slowmo; when the song kicks and is all upbeat there would still be slowmo. i felt the visuals could have been a bit more fast paced to match the audio.
in this case, id have to say the good outweighs the bad and im gunna give an 8. i can see a lot of work was put into this vid and it deffinently shows. certain things aside, this was an enjoyable video to watch.

hmm, when i saw those names in the intro i think it shot up my expectations a bit much. i didnt really feel the content as much as i could have i dont think. some of the shots really werent that great. a few stood out, but overall the vid didnt make me go crazy over all the shots. they were mostly 'good' but wasnt really incredible or anything. gunna have to give it a 6 on this one.

the video looked really nice. the quality and cfg were really sharp looking. wasnt perfect, but was still really good. the audio quality was pretty good too, sounded pretty nice on my box. unfortunately, all that came at a pretty steep price of 28.4mb/1minute [roughly], which i think could have been much smaller. even 23-25mb/minute for that quality would have been possible. but still, it looked good and im going to give it a 7. im not necessarily complaining about the size, to be honest i dont really care about downloading big files, i just think with all the tutorials out there, the possibilities of smallsize/highquality are much better than whats actually been done recently [in gaming vids].
Overall: 7
overall id have to say this video would lie between the 7-7.5 range. it was very enjoyable to watch. it was well edited, featured many new effects, a great soundtrack, some cool shots, looked sharp, showed some great text stuff, and was just very entertaining all around. unfortunately MANY of the effects had been featured in past videos [some in many videos], the video had a hefty size, nearly lost its flow in a few areas due to excessive slowmo and looked a bit stretched out. still a good video. im hard to impress and ill be watching this video for quite some time. good job liquide and i hope to see a lot more from you in the near future.

A great fragmovie with a fresh and very professional look. A must download for every gamemovie-friend.
Creativity: 8
The best thing here is the intro. With it's lot of filters and effects, creating a new look, it's building a great tension. The whole movie is keeping this feeling - although most of the effects have been used before.
Still they are used so well that they make a great general view.
Editing: 10
Not a single frag has been used without syncing. More than every second frag is using multiple recams. Even the effects are used for syncing purposes and are supporting the flow of the movie. There's absolutely nothing you complain about.
I especially liked the to-the-beat-plasma, also a bonuspoint to creativity.
Beware, there's no ingame-sound - but it works completely without it.
Content: 9
Since the frags are mostly done by "pros" and many other people helped in gathering frags, this part is great, too. Combined with the fluent editing, the frage are building a great flow in showing off lots of imressive flickrails and midairs.
Quality: 8
At approximately 30 MB/min you could expect an absolutely crisp picture.
But especially in the intro there are some artifacts to discern. The mainpart can hold it's near perfect quality until the end, though.
Overall: 9
This is one of the movies, where everything is right and you will watch it again and again.
Thanks to the huge effort that has been made in syncing the movie, there's a great flow in it, which sticks you to the visuals on the screen.
Keeper and favorite.
