Summary:
From the pov of an outsider (only played Q1 and no QW), this video comes accross as pretty well done. The graphics have been worked on, it has some nice editing and it is an enjoyable watch overall.

Creativity: 8
This movie definitely stands out with a nicely done intro and a good transition to the fight scenes. The transition and transformation effects are blended in seamlessly but definitely contribute to keeping the viewer captivated.

Editing: 9
I have to agree with fei in that there is hardly any flaw in the editing. The audio sync is spot on. Some of the music used might not appeal to some tastes but I kind of like it. I don't know if cams exist for this game but it definitely looks like it.

Content: 8
Content-wise, the frags are pretty impressive. There's some prediction and luck shots that look like they're difficult to pull off. This is all very nicely transposed to video thanks to the editing.

Quality: 8
Quality is very good for a game that has an old engine. I'm tempted to think that the picture has been reworked with various filters and effects. The video is very fluid and perfectly watchable.

Overall: 8
This is a very nice movie and definitely recommended for fans and the unitiated alike. I haven't seen other QuakeWorld videos but I'm guessing it is probably one of the best ones out there and can rival with videos from other games.

1.) havnt seen a movie this good looking since brotherwars2 or one as motavating as this to play the game.
2.) vb- posted a QW vid that doesnt suck :P

some new looks to the maps and a orginal intro, made for a overall different feel from the rest

some new twists to classic effects and some new ones

Editing: 8
not a flaw, great sync although average music selection.

good use of cams... and for QW vids, excellent use of cams.

Content: 9
editing and quality of the picture made the frags even better. not a QWers but some very impressive stuff. this is what 9 years of quake looks like.

Quality: 8
flawless, except for the fact that real sucks :P, simple install and can be played in WMP so there shouldnt be any complaining.

full screen = perfect picture... for 60 MB over 20 MB/min it better be.

Overall: 8
very good vid, HIGH FIVE pez.

keeper + must DL for quakers and movie editors. and if you want to see what QW is like, this is very good looking.
