No :) Vecchi released forever2 ith a feeling of "still there's somethng missing"
So in this version he got a better compression (xvid is a gonner), and a few more effects :)
Of course that the content, music etc etc it's all the same!

Man... I installed the codec and all, and it is REALLY slow. The music is like 20 seconds ahead of what is happening. :'(

I downloaded the original as well... I don't know what it is exactly with this movie, but I just watched this gold edition and the movie just moves me... Can't put my finger on it but it is one of those movies that just oozes love for the game :D
I love it :)

Really Spookmineer! The love that i feel for this game is something inexplicable. I love of truth this game. I wanted to have known it since its launching, i more only came to know it in 2002 when i bought my first PC. Quake III Arena The Game Of My Life!

Sheeeeeeesh, was I looking forward. Great that Vecchi told me about it. I clicked the download link.
I am not complaining about the x264 or the filesize, it will play normally here. But - will there be another download link?
I have 1 hour waiting time at filefront right now, that sucks ass :(
At PlanetQuake3.org you can upload files as well and their servers are often very fast, not that overused I think.
Have a good day though, I will love the movie.
...Did you still have a uncompressed file of the movie or why can there be better quality now?

Actually I must admit, it was weird watching this movie. I like Forever 2 more than the gold edition.
- I like the fullscreen more, not widescreen, even if it is only an intro.
- The quality was not bad, but a bit worse than Forever 2, sometimes in the end it was a bit worse.
- I wondered what happened to the sound: On the Marilyn Manson
track in the end it is clearly noticable that the sound changed a lot.
- The effects and the new scenes are surely a plus, well done :)
- Watching was indeed weird. The effects were "shaking" in my
opinion, sometimes. And the footage had some errors on some seconds.
For everybody his own opinion, I keep the "Classic" Forever 2 edition,
I just love it. The quality was already awesome there for me.

Are you sure you're watching this right? Many things you experienced
don't sem to be correct.. quality is far better than forever2 for
instance :)
Vecchi can't read english, he has to learn for himself.. not like some
people that have the luck to read tutorials (like toxics) or help from
people who actually know pretty much about codecs ;)

Yeah quality is far better then FOREVER 2, haven't watched it fully yet because my pc is too loaded atm to play it back smoothly, Ill let u know once i did :P
Only thing i'd have to say now is why didn't you just use x264 in stead of nero recode? gives you better quality and has less cpu usage (a lot still, yeah, but not as much as nero :|),
anyway, original idea on releasing a gold edition! One of the few movies that I've spent an hour and a half in filefront queue for :O

How should the quality be any better, he just used the forever 2 avi and edited that, then encoded it again. No way the quality was better ;)
