HF with the movie :), i have this one also online at the utassault community, someone came up with the bright idea of flaming me and my friend about the quality of the vid (which isn't good, but aint horrible either.. so don't worry :>)
I made a big post about the reasons for WHY that is.. but also at the end of the movie (credits part), it states what went wrong.. a few of the reasons for the lesser quality is stated there aswell.. if you all like to know further to WHY it's like that let me know that i input it also here and then it might be more clearly :), but the main reasons is also stated in the near end of the movie so..
Have fun watching it, i've already got some great comments to what to change but every comment is welcome!

EVERYONE PLEASE READ THIS POST!
REASONS WHY THE QUALITY OF THE MOVIE WASN"T THAT GOOD
1) We used old precaptured movie files that weren't used in other movies, most of the time we're already crap quality, had some bugs in it (the msn sound, the speed of the clips)
2) This movie was used as besides a clean up for a FEW (like 5 or 6) old clips also for bringing out a colaboration vid between me and montana which we wanted to do already for some time.
3) Because of the colaboration, we captured from 2 differend PC's, which showed you that mont his hud was differend, sometimes his fov (also from old files), the speed.flow of the clip, and the light of it..
4)WE DIDN"T GET ONE BIT OF LUCK WITH THIS VID
check what it says at the end of the movie
HALFWAY PAST MAKING THE MOVIE MY WINDOWS CRASHED TOTALY, i am happy i was able to recover MOST of the movie files, clips, demos, idea's
Adobe premiere pro since then never worked anymore and with that some more programs..
i was able to save my UT but it had a few new bugs (playback problems with demomanager 3.0, 3rd view didn't worked anymore and some more problems)
and alot of more shit like that
5) Because of all the shit problems i was needed to get used to Vegas 5 in a period of 30 days (assembling the DM + final part) and reasembling the part of AS
6) Me and montana already agreed on having this done BEFORE december came along.. which we DID, and despite all the shit that came along with this project i can tell u
7) Why .wmv?, simply because of the clips that we already had lying here and wanted to use, if we had made it other then .wmv (which i tried over and over), the quality turned out alot worse at some places of the movie.. and the total of MB would be going up to 400+ which isn't what we wanted.. so rather .wmv and overal quality of the movie to visible + enjoyable rather then .avi, parts of the movie not watcheble + high MB count of the file..
Most of this post has been copied after recieving a flaming reaction on a forum from uta community, sorry for any comments in this post that are ment towards that :). cleaned it up a bit

Quality is not that great by u allready explained that :D
Liked the tracks and the part with the metal song felt rlly good. Frags were getting better 2
Im not really into assault but enjoyed most of it :)

there was a 40 gig data limit on the webhost, it's been updated to 50 gig now
you can download again.. once it says it again let me know and it will be updated again
if someone els can host it aswell i would appreciate it :)

movie was kewl to watch, but theres many minuses as I already pointed out :]
-fov
-quality
-diff fov\diff qual in clips <- :)
-syncing?
-jumpmatch frags :X
-HUD
now that thats said, i gotta say i enjoyed seeing some AS in a movie, was kewl =)
I know u didnt put very much effort into this, but Im looking forward to ur next 1 when u have been hangin in #creative-pictures for a while ull prolly snap up a thing or 2 to make ur next 1 way better ;]

His previous movie (Hardstyle Madness) was compressed by me using xvid and ac3. Altrough i didn't found time to watch his new movie i could guess that his first movie was of a better quality.
But tho be honest.. a better quality doesn't make a movie beter, its the kills/gameplay that count ;).

In total 4 mirrors online now, first mirror has bandwith limit but fast speed, second is filefront so not to fast, third is hosted by my clan and is good speed, 4rd is from friend from uta. Enjoy

well, i expected low quality which i got, i expected high quality frags, which wasn't really what i got..
so what we have here, is a very low quality movie, which average frags, nice some runs and yes i only saw 1 sweet kill.. for some real sweet stuff you should watch zwanz' piece of art (retaliation movie) now THAT is quality editing and quality footage, this doesn't rate any higher then a 4 in my book and then i am still being very nice to the creater/fragger imo... |
