*sigh* Bink is a very common video compression tool used in the gaming industry. Developed by RAD Game Tools, its unique encoder allows users to directly specify how big they wan the file to be, and the encoder will try its damndest to make it so (with great results). When the encoding is done it creates a .bik file (Bink), using the Advanced Play feature to compile a .exe so that people dont have to download Bink just to play it.
Its an executable because it has the codec built into the file. No special or extra downloads just download and play.
Its very surprising to see that not alot of peolpe know about Bink from RAD. Take a look at about 80% of the intro screens to most console games and youll see the colourful tornado that is the Bink logo. Usually located by the Sofdec (or whatever it is) logo. For PC games, the logo is not usually included in the intro videos, but rather as its logo on the back of the box or in the credits of the game. www.radgametools.com
(ive actually seen alot of counter-strike movies (fan made and promo) use this codec)

yeah i deleted all of those custom models this morning to tell the truth. (the deadgle model looks so much better in game than compressed)
Uhh though read above for my description on Bink if your a bit confused on that part. It also explains why i chose it.
At the start i used a few transitions, and along the way i used a few slow-down effects, but your right, not alot of effort went into it. For some reason jsut rendering a preview took over 4 hours for a single spot, and i didn't nessesarily want to spend a very long time like that on a video i wasn't quite sure was going to turn out as well as i had hoped in the first place. About the mriror, thats my host, its a geat download speed, but the upload is horrific, haha, 7kbs upload speed MAX.
Not all the frags were pathetic were they? i know they arent the best in CS history *looks at HeatoN* but i am only a casual gamer. I do other stuff in my day, haha.

imo and by todays standards im afraid that yes, all the frags were pathetic :( they were all pub frags, many clips of single kills and not that impressive
i also am a "casual gamer" (as i do stuff during the day, other than game) as i am sure everyone else at own-age is, and not one of the frags in your vid were good enough to be used in a frag highlights vid imho :(
i suggest you take a look at skrill source, thats the only source movie i have seen with half decent frags and editing.
making a vid involved ALOT of work, i personally have been working on mine (getting footage, editing..) for around 1 year and im still not happy with it! but take some time on ur nxt release and i am sure it will be a winnah. gl
