EDIT: pretty decent video
+ loved the fps you used ( 40 or ? )
+ frags - some really nice shots mixed in with decent ones
- editing - this category lacked
+ quality was smooth
- music - alot of over used songs
-/+ the camera got a bit annoying at times but good camera work either way

Music - Overused, not original, boring, whatever you will pick :>
Editing: wise but... didn't like recams to much. Maybe two or three nice. And one more thing. You have
only standard windows fonts on your computer ?
About motion blur - one of your screenshots, that one with gauntlet, is enough for comment.
And the comment is: What in the hell is on that picture ?
I like smoothnes though. What frame rate this movie has ?
Content: normal ? nothing special ?
Creativity: I don't see any.
But hey..... That's just my opinion :>

people are trying to make good movies and trying to improve themself. I think you are not helping him by putting this agressive comment. Q3 is dying and your comments are not cool at all. You can give your impression but there is a way to tell it. It's first R3g3k movie you could be nicer in your comment. |

After seeing this movie I couldn't have guessed it's his first!
I agree with _replicant's post (the first one). Quality is very good, config looks good too, motion blur was pretty (doesn't make good screenshots though ;) ).
Some music has been used before, some other tracks are new to me, nicely synched in some parts. In some of the larger scenes, the ingame sound could have been synched a little better (not that disturbing though).
Some of the cams were a little overboard, especially the roll was pretty extreme and too sudden/fast I think (if you like rollercoasters, download this movie!).
As this is his first movie I'd really like to see his next one, all the "basics" are covered in this one (hm... saying it like that doesn't do justice to the movie - I think it's worth the download).
I know how much fun it can be to play with q3mme, but some moderation could help the next movie :) use it in a more functional way. The rocket/grenade cams were nice, in some places the victim could maybe have been shown earlier so you see the "bigger picture", a better overview of the frag. I'm losing myself in details now heheh, bottom line: a nice clean movie and it promises cool future movies!

about the movie - it was decent, enjoyable production
there are plenty of things I liked, though, the overall flow is what I liked the most
another thing that stands out is quality - really good, colors are vivid and lush, clearly more than watchable
moreover, I really enjoyed camera movement showing off fast action from so many angles.. amazing stuff
unfortunately content wasn't as good as I expected, as the matter of fact this isn't bright point of this vid at all... rather average frags however I've noticed good ones as well :)
finally in short - download the movie, it is well worth seeing

I guess i wasn't but that's just what I think so if you thinked that i was comparing myself to biggY' your wrong from my side of wiev but not from yours i think :>
Anyway. Is that smoothnes comes from using motion blur ? I'm recording at 50fsp and without any motion blur it doesn't look so smooth.

The quality is very pretty.
The effects are pleasant but you should be more creative in the next movie.
Songs are already used by other movies, but that's your own choice maybe.
Good job for your first movie!

What a nice movie :) too bad that the moviemaker had lack of experience because many things were well coordinated but for nowadays it was missing the "wow" factor
example: i think all effects were vegas default, and btw what did you use AE for? And green keel.. they made green 2222 default because there is no green like that in q3.. it's for gaming purposes only!!
But again i'm enjoying the camera work, nice 1st -> 3rd person recam following rockets, keep moviemaking and fraggers keep recording frags and choose more highlight because the beggining was very average (but after that was nice), and that blind rail pwnz \m/

Good one for a first try but too bad the music didn't affect me at all. Maybe that's just me but i had a strong feeling of déjà-vu while watching this excepted for the part that starts with a pummel on dm7 near the end of the video cause the music didn't sound like something i had already heard 1000 times.. dunno if it's a specific genre but i'm really getting bored of all those magistral tracks supposed to make me go wow.. zz. Don't get me wrong i'm definately NOT against that kind of music but i think it's just overused in gaming movies and it doesn't make me any effect anymore unless it's worked at 110%. Anyway music is your personnal choice after all and i respect it, just posting my point of view.
Well besides this i thought it was pretty descent for a first try and as spookminer said, all the basics were covered here.. actually there are a few things i've enjoyed like some of the frags (even if some others were really cheap imo) and a few nice camera angles excepted that endless run on cp14 which was simply unwatchable imo (too much roll, too much blur). No pointless effects to mention, most of em were quite well used.. subtil editing is what i like. Long story short, good one but try to work on the things ppl mentionned if you're planning to make another movie. I think it's worth it, gl and gj for this.
