| Why oh why is every run displayed twice here? :( Music ... IMO it was total bs. Runs were pretty nice I guess. Editing lacked. So... 4/10. |

Original concept. Some recams are pretty good, but I think it's not the goal of a run movies to show us good cams. At least for a trailer it should had been nice, but I personnaly expect watching some "skill and control" in a run movie. That is to say a specific editing, with first person views etc. So overall not a bad movie, but not a good one too.

Nice quality, the music was something different(but also a nice choice), but it should synchronize with the picture. The effects was nice but i think should use more, and what i realy like, u didn't made the usuall mistake: defrag RUNZ must include 1ST PERSON view.So that is also a pretty good thing.
Overall: 6/10
Good Job!

Okey hi Thoca. Congratulations to your first movie, everybody has to start somewhere and for that it is nothing too bad. Critics now: The music was ok, why not to use something special. It confused a lot that always two runs were shown indeed, no matter what competition it was for. There were some standard things that you might not have known doing your first movie like having resampling off when rendering. Without it the credits could have been well readable - and don't do them so fast next time, I could only read 3 names :)
So if there already is a q3mme, use it the right way. It can let you create as cool camera runs as defrag cameras, but don't twist them all too much. The ability to do them such a crazy way does not mean you have to show that you can turn it so much. Rather do smooth cameras that show the details of the run very well, good angles and so. More first person to show the skills and especially differences between the players' runs = good too. And you can improve your quality a LOT by using motion blur. It is integrated in mme anyway, not hard to do - it will look cooler and the movie afterwards is easier to compress = smaller size.
Enough moaning huh :) Good day, thank you for putting me on top of the thanks list : D Keep working, I see good movies coming by you the next months, hehe. John

Positive: I love it. Really just love it. Great music, wonderful cameradriving and the double runs made me feel as if in a competition. Made it more alive. Neg: Intro was a bit annoying, a little less effects mebbe, credits too fast, was just a blur. Also the focus was clearly not on the time of the runs, even tho it showed, I was busy lookin elsewhere, I also did not have any recollection of what the time of the previous run was so it didn't really matter.
More positive stuff: I also liked the swaying camera, and that you used it soo much, it made the movie fit perfectly with the music and added a sense of funkiness gave it more speed! Great work! =;D |
