Description:
I hope you enjoyed the movie. Nothing out of this world original in the vid, but still I hope it was worth the download. None of us are the best Quakers out there (as I'm sure you could have guessed) and we don't claim to be, but we have a lot of fun. And for the sake of the Quake movie-making community... I hope the modders go insane with Quake 4, even though it's the Doom 3 engine =/.

P.S. ALL demos used in this vid were created during LANs =).

it was a nice vid ^_^ some good frags some less so, quality was a bit pants at points though, especially at higher resolutions, cams were nice, but overall nothing really special honestly, and I do realise it's not intended to be ^_^

Not a bad vid tbh but you really should have compressed it with something else than Divx :( I know it's kinda easier than XviD to work with but there are plenty of good tutorials for this out there in case you don't know how to proceed. Well other than that i thought you had some good camera work and a few good frags here and there (and some less so like Zhou Yu said). Also a big + for the credits song btw, i just love it.

Well

As already said...(but now edited) it was boring because the content just...was below average!
I think there are so many guys here which want to see themselves in videos.
And i didnt like the config you used cause there was too much hudstuff imo
cg_Draw2d 0 is your friend ;)

The quality made the movie unenjoyable
you should try to get a better quality ;)

yes there was some artifacting on some parts, but this was entered in an editing contest not a quality contest and i think those comments are to harsh for a 1st time q3 movie maker.

it takes a lot of time and effort to produce anything average nevermind outstanding and the 1st ones are rarely above average but.....i thought this was edited in a solid way with decent re-cams and synch.
people are to eager to bash other peoples work, and the people doing the bashing are always the ones who never can be bothered to put the work into making ther own movie AND THAT MEANS LOTS OF PEOPLE.

so give ppl a chance, and be constructive instead of bashing them.

It's nice to hear an encouraging word every now and again. ;)

All of your constructive criticism is much appreciated, seriously. This is actually this first Quake vid of mine that I released publically, though this is my second Quake 3 movie overall, hence the After Hours 2. My focus, as it's obvious, wasn't much else other than the editing/camera. The frags were average and the quality was average, these things I know. I really wanted to use Xvid but I couldn't figure out how to get the filesize reasonable in time, I'm hoping to master that with my next project.

But if nothing else I hope that you were entertained.

That was a pretty bad video, in my opinion, but that was because the image quality, and the frags.

You used some pretty good camera angles, and even the effects mod(Man, don't you wish Quake 4 gibs like the effects mod?), but the frags were lacking and you should've compressed with x264 or divx.

Good luck on your next movie, if you make one.

Let it rain divine justice.

+ textstyle was really cool at intro, some syncing with the action was nice, some cameras were brilliant(especialy that at 2:13) ,map variety was top 'i have never seen some of the maps.its a good detoxication from q3dm6, sweet and original music, blurriness/oversampling at some sequences gave me the impression that the video was at higher fps than 30 ,nice touch there, and so was the seing-through-wall-thingy (although i have seen it performed identically in get quaked 3)
- whats wrong with the quality? at some places it was good but some other times it deteriorated and looke pretty crappy, while some frags were very good the majority really spoiled the overall outcome, 25% of the vid was outro :/
> overall i wish it was more spectacular.anyway OK movie for its category (contest) but it had no chance to stand out in this years competition comparing it to the other good movies that participated 8/7/6/6

Do you  want to see the most revolutionary movie ever created, able to change once and for all the way you are experiencing game movies?

well so do I...
