I hate to bash other people's work but after the hassle of watching it, I had to point out two things :
- extremely boring content. Geez, don't those pro-gamers ever make a decent frag ? I mean, anyone can hit two rails in a row for god's sake, where are the flick shots and the midair rockets ? The only decent frag is a spammed midair which, thanks to the opponent jumping down, actually hits. :(
- I have a P4 2.8E with 1 gig of DDR and the video doesn't run smooth at all. Sound is lagged, frequent freezes.. I guess my computer is not top notch anymore but I thought I'd yet be able to watch smooth vids for a while.
Other than that well the quality is good I guess, and the soundtrack is ok, but I really don't see the point in making a video to showcase such uninteresting and casual frags, even though they are made by players who make 5000$ a tourney. |

| Considering Killaton made this with content limited to one event, it's damn good. The quality is un-matched in any other quake4 video. It's a good movie IMO. |

I don't know what you guys expect from a Quake 4 frag video, but there are lots of nice frags in BS2. The key to them is that they are made in a near-perfect fashion every time you see them playing out on your screen. You just need to play Quake 4 more often to appreciate them, I guess. :P
Good job, killat0n. The quality is unmatched as Judge said, but the performance is not very flexible -- BS1 is easily playable on my rig, but BS2 is not. Perhaps the Xvid version will smooth out these problems and provide an alternative for those of us who wish to watch this movie without it frying our CPU's. D: |

Really good movie tbh!
And indeed there arn't any fancy double airrockets stuff in the movie but who gives a fuck the frags are really nice for Quake 4. If you wanna see some ultra airrockets go watch a q1/q3 movie or wait 2 years if you wanna see it in Q4.

I don't have to have made any video nor posted a zillion comments to know most of these frags are just your everyday public server casual +zoom railgun frag. :|
I could post some links to a hundred of videos with decent content from QW to Q3 including Q2 and CPMA but why bother.
I just think you did a nice job making a decent video despite the hassle it can be with Q4, it's just a shame you lost your time doing so to put together utterly poor frags. I mean wow, railing someone who just spawned and finishing him off with SG, who can do that eh ? Centuries of practice I tell you.
I'd rather you not take it too personally, but really in my opinion you wasted your time to showcase everyday stuff just because those frags were from "pro-gamers". Well as pro they can be, the content of this video is still totally unentertaining and I'm left unimpressed by those low sens +zoom'd long range rails and shafts, and a few poor rockets, most beeing mere spams anyway.
Beeing so close to Q3 when it comes to physics and weapon balance you'd think Q4 would have similar videos to offer in terms of frag quality but so far I haven't seen anything half-decent, and I don't know if resorting to what's actually beeing made by the "pros" is really better than doing nothing at all.
One might say I should've known what to expect having watched quite a bunch of Q4 streams and yes, my bad, instead of bashing them, I should really avoid Q4 videos from now on since it is clear we'll hardly get anything better than that given the maps, the engine, the poor port of Q3's gameplay and the favored playstyle. It's a pity the Quake series has to end like this though. |

First off, you Quake 3 lovers, go keep your game. Quake 4 has more elements then that prehistoric game anyways. It isn't that game, and we have seen the incredible shots forever, like mid air rockets and such. Since you dont play this game on a top level you do not know nor realize this isn't so much a highlight real as it is normal in game highlights of a game no one has watched a video like this yet AND from one tournament. it looks better then any video I have watched and since I play, I don't really need mid air rockets. Noobs can hit them and noobs can rail. So? They can't in tournements against other good players. We have seen the supposed "skill" videos before, and they neevr impress me personally, but it doesn't make them bad and neither with this. This is in tournament play and highlights the tournament. 1.2 Quake 4 was all rail and LG, and 1.3 is not so much now and is faster and more balanced and much more highlightable. Maybe keep your comments to yourself or do a better video. And making a comment on music is stupid. That is more opinion then anything. The director picks a song and thats that. Instead of being so negative and godly, maybe look at the fact this video shows how Quake 4 can look great to the mainstreamers unlike the hardcore yourself, and bring new players and viewers to this pro gaming. That is important right? Or you can just go learn how life can be good and skeptics are not the balance but the thing everyone hates about this world. peace be with you all Laff.
Good vid Killa. The players and those not as hardcore as the above will appreciate it. Already non fans of pc gaming have shown interest because of this video. |

i have a amd 2600+ and cant watch more than the first 5 seconds of that movie (and i use vlc)!
therefore i cant comment on the content, BUT according to the information from the other users there are no airrockets and such.
the age of that game is no excuse. when i started playing q4, hitting some airrockets was almost as easy as it was in q3. which means there should be a lot of great stuff available.
and just one last remark:
i found this in your info.txt that was included in the bloodshed.rar
"Note: If you thought that the content of this movie could have been better, well, don't tell me about it. Take it up with these guys..."
you (and nobody else ) are responsible for the content of your movie and not those guys. nobody forced you to use their demos. |

i really liked the vid, but even with my new sys which is really good, it lagged for me (sometimes really worse).
and in the end it fucked up vlc somehow - dunno why
anyway the parts i saw (and these were the most) were really nice- liked that
