I'm not much of a cpma fan at all... but some of these runs you just got to see. 12 second flag to flag run on Q3W1 :o
The sound definately needs work... the "records" were great but the frags were not the best.
good movie. :)

I only play cpma so I was happy to see a cpm movie dedicated to speed. Content is really good, but editing lets me a strange feeling... It is quite original but imo it wastes a little the great content. First please use high details cfg (picmip and lightning). Then action is not really clear, that is why you need to show action again: but always seeing the same frag twice is boring (showing action twice from 2 different viewpoints is good to emphasize a specific action but mustn't be systematic, or it is boring). A good thing with cg_draw2d is to record in-game sounds instead of adding random sounds (excellent, impressive...). So next time try to get action clear at the first attempt, and get a high detail cfg, and you will get a really great video.

I'm no fan of pm1 movement, but ur runs always takes my breath away. Najs. DAMN NAJS! :P Concerning the editing, it's true that adding standalone ingame sounds can be a bit of a bugger, but IMO it can just as easily be a helpful tool to aid the flow of the movie. But the camera movement is great, the clipping is gr8, some nicely timed frags too, and an overall impression of quality. Some freaky transitions, bet alot of work went into those. Just a damn good job.

doesn't matter anyway about the votes... in about a weeks time, the voting system will show guest voting and user voting seperate. So you can weed out the bs and just look at what the regular viewers rate the vid

this movie's audio and video editing was not even close to great, great tricking, but the frag attempts and replays are so jumbled, with cut up audio tracks that i started getting sick around 5 minutes. the mixed in splats and pows that are just thrown in make it even harder to bare. i hope for a better second effort from mUrD3r.
quake 4 is a ton of fun. |

i defrag often and lot of the server records at mousepotato.org for cpm are set by him... im pretty sure whatever content he has is pretty good...

Definately one of the better movies iv seen here! I really did like how the movie started with the focus being on cpm movement. However, the focus then shifted to frags :( Now in a frag movement (IMO only) ya gotta really have frag that stand out from the crowd and aint average (i shall use the example of annil here) to make a frag movie cool.
Also make either a frag movie OR a trick/movement movie. Dont be a jack of all trades master of none :) IMO the only frags that set the fragging section of the movie apart were the quad rampages on q3wcp9 (nice). The other frags are ones that you typically see in everyday play - aprt from a few of those air grenades :)
Also i have noticed that watching movies like annil and style principals that when the graphics setting for q3 AND your system are turmed up max, combined with red/blue enemy models (not the plethora of color combinations that people tend to use) really does add to the viewing experience.
Well thats just a few of my constructive critiscisms i have.
