really really good movie. the visuals were fantastic, the kills were GREAT (especially considering its from a few choice players at ONE event) and the config improved since last time (not that it was bad before.) The editing was good, but not Shaolin-Production quality. i guess i cant blame you since Q4 doesnt exactly have the same movie making tools as Q3 does.
i'd say the ONLY downside from me is the music. now i know its a matter of preference, and the music *sort of* fit the action onscreen, but looking back at past quake videos, that style of music does not stand repeated viewings at all.
Music aside, this is a must see for Quake4 players. there are very few "HOLYSHIT!!!!" kills, but theyre all heavily skill-based and very fun to watch. Nice release killat0n, looking forward to more!!

I downloaded around 900kb/sek from planetquake4.
I liked the movie, some really nice frags and okay music. tho, I'd like to see more freecams & shit, dunno if it's so easy in q4. Anyway, good movie!

| So good frags! And a nice soundtrack (not Marilyn Manson, Tool <3). Best - even though it's the only one so far - Q4 movie I've seen. |

Quake IV.... meh.
i was very disappointed with that game
(doom3 engine is HORRIBLE yadda yadda yadda) personally the only good
kills in this movie were the rail shots
through corners, yes they are "pros" and cant be expected
to get 2x rocket juggles or any of that jazz although i was impressed
with their map control. music was just your
average "same shit different band"
style. editing was very basic and I'm
actually glad it was, there has been a long string of poorly edited
movies submitted on own-age lately I've
noticed (people cant seem to grasp the concept that in a frag
movie you need to be able to see the frags without the "OOOooo,
LENSFLARE!!!!") so I'm glad your one
to break that chain. the quality was excellent,
although the file size was pretty big and for only 13 minutes... well
i need not comment. over all the movie was mediocre, it was a far
greater improvement to the previous “bloodshed” movie. I'm
sure there will be better in the future but
I'm going to agree with the review from
muckyman and say its the best one to date.
some tips if you
choose to take them; try and use the free cam a bit more, work on
compression, keep that editing simple yet try to spice it up a bit ;)
GL with any future movies.
