god... this vid completely owns me.. not only are the tricks so incredible, but the editing is so sharp and it looks so clean.. wow..
PROS:
+ Quality is perfect [and only 22mb / 1m]
+ cfg looks great.. colors are vibrant.. everything is really sharp
+ video is synced suprisingly well [esp for a fisrt video!]
+ the effects were used very lightly which gave it a very classy/clean look
+ the Aliens font was actually a nice touch, as its very sleek and easy on the eyes.
+ the cams were really really awesome.. very creative, yet showed the trick perfectly.
+ the music was much different then in any trick vid [yay @ using mars volta :D:D::D:D!]
+ the credits w/ lego were hilarious.. [+ i remember how pissed otee was w. that flat 6x]
+ most importantly the tricks.. so incredibly creative and powerful. completely way ahead of the game..
CONS:
- music transitions were during tricks which kinda disrupts flow a bit
- didnt realy like font credits
- and uhh.. a lack of bad things to say about this video lol
overall.. an incredible vid. There is in no way i would say that hooker picked up where alive left off.. everything is so different and so great.. The tricks especially..very few of those tricks were to be used in alive, so many of the ones in live to fly have been made since then [summer] and theyre so advanced.. its amazing how good these guys are and they keep progressing. oTis used to think he was all big rocket tricks and had no technical stuff to his abilities.. this totaly blows that away; so many creative 'm1tsu-esque' technical tricks on frag maps that are both really creative and done nicely. then you have nih.. there arent enough words to describe how insanely leet nih is.. honestly, as much as hell never admit it, nih is probably one of the top 5 trickers in the world. he pulls so many tricks daily, all on a really large scale, with tons of rockets [as few as possible] and gets the full extension on all of them. plus he does the tricks in record time. [that 7x was ownt so fast..] Nih's movement is so perfect.. hes like a robot wtf.. but yeah, seriously amazing job oTis and Nih.. this vid deffinently goes into favorites. now @ Hooker.. great job man. i really didnt expect it to be so good. its so clean.. so sharp.. probably the best "first" video ive ever seen.. probably one of the top trick vids period.. the quality is so beyond anything anyones done at this point, i love it. i also think it was a really smart decision to keep the video simple and not attempt to do any crazy effects, as its a first video and a lack of experience could mess things a bit. great job hewkah :D!

Simply amazing.
Very clean and smooth and I agree with basically everything mrpinkk said.
Otis is very technical and I do agree Nihilanth is one of the best freestyle trickers in the world. I loved the ending with the 3 stooges stuff and how nih and otis failed on their tricks (finally I know it happens to them and not just me :D )
Otis' grenade tricks were probally my fave especially the dm17 one, I also loved nih's ful trick :D |

o 2 things i forgot to add that i didnt really like..
- the 'chrome' weapons kinda bothered me
- felt like the weapon could have come out a little more, mebe 1 setting more behind the widescreen
other then that.. golden.

just watched this an "art of tricking 2" and i gotta say,
the level of tricks in these new movies is insane. :)
and especially in this one the cammings were VERY nice.

anyway the quality is insane and comparable to it2 (mayb even better in some cases) ;)
Mayb u can write something about which settings u used, the way u captured the footage and rendered the final product.
love the ingame colour quality

hrmm, i think i missed the new camera styles, or something.
+ lovely config
+ 'new' style of music for tricking videos
+ lego pirate 'ha haaarrrr'!
+ lots of custom maps
+ some great tricks
- no ingame sfx
- straight tricking (gets boring for none trickers)
- 'new' style of music for tricking videos
- replaying tricks
- lots of samey tricks compared to other videos out lately
5 a piece.. i think that sums it up for me. :)

tricks were insanity, ending was cool, font sucked bigtime for the credits
and I really dislike the music, espically the ozzy one, sure its different or whatever but that just seemed completely out of line for a tricking video and I found myself concentrating on why this music was playing instead of looking at the tricks the first time I watched it
Don't get me wrong, this has nothing to do with taste in music, I don't really even like the jungle music you hear in tricking videos but it just suits it, kinda like how you dont play polka in a war movie.

Some amazing tricks. The ctf map ones were my favourite though, hehe. <3 oTis.
Quality was very good, vid looked very sharp and clean.
Ending was very funny, lol. I always like it when people add some humour to their movies. :)

A must download and a keeper for me.

i don't have quake 3 (but i played through it several times on nightmare sp) but i still like the vid...
main things i watch it for are:
+ ultra high quality of video footage
+ music is origional, yet good (i sometimes watch the video just to hear the first song, but i like the other songs a lot too)
