Travel is more impressive not only due to the old graphics, but editing and pacelike. One just has a "greater feeling" by watching it, this is a style of editing that impresses me much more, because you're seeing it much more rarely than the regular skillvideo.
Crystal Method and Overseer are like made for Tribes, but they have been used to much... Descendants has the very second song and faster action on this part, but this one could be even more skilled ... it's really tough to concentrate on the skill if u've never played this game and feel the temptation to click through it because of the graphics :D But some scenes were really really nice!

well, some impressive teamplay scene with flag, but frags aren't, and moves aren't too..
qual was fine, good music imo, and good editing, not too much |

playing with 56k :( 400 ping and i could pull of air discs :D
was a great movie, i really loved the flag passing. wow.
Great game, great video, and if anyone was wondering most of the time when they we're "skiing" that was in normal speed ;)

I guess the frags may not be impressive to those that don't play T1... but those displayed in this video are exceedingly difficult. Mid-Air grenade and Mortar shots are easily some of the most difficult, yet rewarding frags I've had in any games.
This really is a great video.
Playing Tribes for so long, I get clostrophobic playing most of the Q3/UTx style FPS's. To butcher a quote I've heard before... "Its like having a rocket fight in a closet."

Good job. But I would bring some complaints. Each part is a little repetitive, dividing the movie into 3 parts is a good idea, because it gives more variety into the movie (21 mins long!), but the content shown in each part always looks the same. Always airshots, always fast capture, always somebody capping the flag and then giving it to an other mate who brings it back to the base: you always know what to expect. And always shown nearly the same way, with a replay. Imo more first person view would have been better, and no replay. In the end each scene lasts for quite long... It is due o the game itself, that it pretty fast but on huge maps. My favorite part was the last one, and the second the least entertaining imo (really less impressive than the 2 others).
Anyway still nice movie with good content (difficult to judge as a non-tribes player), but editing felt quite repetitive, it is especially due to the length of the movie and the fact that tribes doesn't allow much variety of nice stuffs to show (or at least it is not shown here).
Alcohol is the answer, but I can't remember the question!

In truth, this mvoie will only look truly good to a tribes player. The 'repeditive action' is in fact nothing close to any idea of how hard you may believe it is. In addition, there are so many small nuances that you simply cannot understand from an outside perspective. I would like to draw a comparison to many Quake3 movies (ie trickjumping). After a while, it all looks pretyy much the same to me, notwithstanding that i am quite aware that is certainly not the case. The same goes for many of the shots/scenes in this movie. It is impossible to appreciate just how amazing the stuff is if you haven't played the game properly. Those airshots which seem so dull? You'd be lucky to pull off 2 or 3 in a full year of playing. If you will excuse what may be misconstrued as elitism... once again, while I know many 'outsiders' have watched and enjoyed Legacy purely on it's cinematic value, the full depth can only be truly undrestood by a tribes player.

For those non-tribesplayers they may not know how SLOWWW the heavy suit seen in this picture is.. The average speed is around... 3.5 miles per hour, yet the player manages to achieve and maintain over 300 miles per hour.. Another example you can see in this screenshot is the missle.. now you may or may not notice that right above the glowing part of the missile there is a spider-like shape.. the player here correctly threw a mine at that exact time in order to accellerate rapidly.. And then he manages to land perfectly as to take minimal damage.. an extremely challenging task considering he has the maneuverability of a mildly retarded and decapitated sloth. Never the less.. it seems like a relatively simple task. |

omg tribes was my first internet game, i cant wait to watch this..
so do people still play t1? cuz t2 and t3 friggin sucked....
i think ill load it up and play it.
im expecting several tricky mas and skiing.

Wow great movie! i loved it! the skill part, coulda seen more MAs but still wonderful
beautiful skiing in the speed part, and synergy, O-M-Gooses! the part where the light is skiing in and the heavy jacks the flag and the light disc jumps off of him while getting the flag was complete ownage, not bad flag passin i must say.
this really shows the game well and how its meant to be played, for the gameplay, fun, and friends, not hyped up graphics like t2 was... *sigh*
and great editing and camera angles

Easily the best T1 movie I've ever seen.
Tribes has to be the hardest game I've ever played, and the skill in those shots were amazing. The shot were the light DJ's off the heavies head while catching the flag, blew me away. Nice Work.
